What a turn off.

I am wondering why the Phillies/CBP ownership/managment is holding up the Winter Classic deal.

The soccer stadium in Chester is a viable alternative if there is on-field seating to make up for the smaller seat number in the venue.

Their won't be a Winter Classic if they have to do it there. It's not a viable alternative at all.

Good. I know we have a huge lead, and I'd much rather have bad days now that in October, but we should be able to pummel a team like that with our eyes closed and B team out there. The mistakes on the field and approaches at the plate have been awful.

A few tough losses can only be good for the future.

Two starts for Doc in his career to clinch a playoff spot, two shutouts. Unreal.

It's only the beginning of a long post season run hopefullly.

Thank god we are done with the Astros. For whatever reason we can never beat them. I heard some crazy stat on the radio about the Phils record vs other teams over the past few years. The only losing records is vs Houston and its not close.

I was at that first one last year in DC. No chance of me being in Houston this year though

Anywho, yeah I love how he just bared (bore?) down after the Phils got that first run to start the game. I think a lot of us knew beyond the 5th or so that with the way they've been swinging the bats the past few days that was probably going to be the only one.

Magic number for best record in the NL is now 3.

After we get it, does anyone else think we should just rest all the starters until October?

It's 2 due to the dh yesterday . The Braves have Lowe pitching tonight so they could actually clinch tonight.

No, I meant for the NL as a whole not the NL East. Isn't that still at 3?

Lack of offense and a shaky bullpen of late are 2 things starting to concern me. Hopefully they're just something that's a result of the fact that this team really hasn't played any meaningful games in quite a while and get's sorted out before the playoffs start.

I want to see what Defratus and Savery can do. See if they could them on the post season roster over someone like Herndon.
