Makes sense that a Calgary radio station would want to talk to him. Oh wait a minute, I take that back.

He played his Junior hockey with Rebels. Both Dean Molberg and Andrew Walker have Red Deer ties and know Fraser.

Didn't shed much new light on the situation. They stayed clear of any Oiler vs Kings talk. His bone didn't heal properly, so he had the surgery. Says he hopes to be ready for the season....although it didn't sound like he was 100% sure about training camp with the Kings. His agent assured him he was not going to be a Brule type buyout, basically he has a chance to make the team. He's excited to be a part of the Kings organization, as they are knocking on the door of possible good playoff showing. Then a bunch of stuff about the Blackhawks.

That was about it. The only question that the radio guy tried to make the Oil look bad, IMO, was when he asked Fraser if the Oiler training staff/doctors screwed up and neglected his condition. He did say he went through the whole works of tests, including an MRI, but the issue is the bone is a weird one in the foot that normally doesn't get this type of injury, or something like that anyways. Interviewer totally struck out on the answer he was hoping to recieve as far as I'm concerned. Fraser sidestepped the questiion very well.

Oh yeah, and Fraser was not very happy with his performance or ice time because of the performance last year. He was hoping to redeem himself this year.

He rightly stayed away from anything that would be of use in the Tambellini witch trials. Talked about how he is still close with former Hawks, how he had a really disappointing season last year, said he really doesnt know what is going on with Mulletgate and that he has friends asking him about it all the time but he has nothing to tell them.

Hoping he wont miss too much/any of he season. Goes to LA next week to see the doctor. Will go there on a more permanent basis towards the end of August. Seems like a nice guy, too bad things went so poorly for him here.

I'd prefer hearing from Brad Richards. Maybe they can ask him why he signed with the Rangers even though the Flames offered him more money.

I thought he shed a little light on things. He said the bone was supposed to heal on it's own, but as they waited for it his body just would not mend the break. So he eventually went ahead on the surgery in LA.

To me that confirms the Oil docs did nothing wrong. It was the off season so there was no rush and the bone should have mended on it's own. But his body was just not mending it like should have.

It sort of shows to me the advice either side was not wrong. Just that his body had not mended like was expected as time was passing.
