Is this post supposed to be ironic?

I can't wait to see what Burrows does next season. He is seriously going to be a man on a mission this year.

On topic, people that hate Burrows will remember the bite, people that like Burrows or the Canucks will remember his two epic OT goals, plus all the other good stuff that he's done for the team. That's just the way it works. No way he's overrated though. He never even gets any praise on this forum, how could he possibly be overrated?

Burrows could not be classified as overrated ... intangibles ! intangibles !

I would love to get a peak at what he could do on another team, because it's very evident from his play he helps the Sedins a couple notches for sure.

Is that you making something up to justify?
Just curious.

no.

Burrows tributes Bourdon after every big goal he scores by mimicking Bourdon's "shoot an arrow into the rafters" celebration.

I don't think Burrows confirmed it but I do also remember an article where it was mentioned

Edit
Bit off-topic but classless fans of other teams seem to love bringing up Luc Bourdon at Rogers Arena,it never ends well

Using complete sentences is another concept that is frequently avoided on forums. Get off the guy's case, everyone knows what he meant.

I didn't know anyone thought he was great, but never mind. So yes, he's overrated.

there was a sabres fan in another thread who didn't know burrows was one of the best PKing wingers in the league and was legitimately shocked that he finished top fifteen in selke voting two years in a row. so no, i don't think he's overrated.

i get it, vancouver games are on late. but when a team makes a deep playoff run, there's no excuse for hockey fans not to know more about the team's unsung heroes. burrows and kesler on the PK was a thing of beauty last spring. take away the big goals and that was still one hell of a playoff run by alex.

All burrows does it score big clutch goals, he is one of the most clutch players in the NHL.

and yes that was imo as big as the bure goal, it started the run, which got us 1 game away from the cup.

He said goals.

Overtime goal in game seven in the presidents trophy winning season against the team that eliminated them the prior two seasons. Overtime goal in Stanley Cup final. Yeah, those are huge goals for a team that's never won the cup wouldn't you say?

Hate Burrows as a player, but he is very good. One of the better two way forwards in the league and probably one of the most versatile players in the league also. Can play from lines 1-4, scoring role, checking role, PK role, PP role and can play both RW/LW. At the price of 2 mil, that is a huge bargain.

Burrows just does so many things well. He's a very special player and one of the more complete in the NHL.

Is he a product of the Sedins? Perhaps... but those two also put up back-to-back Art Ross winning seasons in his first two full-time seasons on their line. They are a perfect compliment to eachother.

There isn't a GM in the league who would pass on a guy him.

How is a player overrated when no one likes him?

But no, he's not overrated. He might be underrated becuase of people saying he's a by-product of the Sedins... Who knows, maybe he can play without them... We just haven't seen in a while.

He's a great bang-for-your-buck though.

Not so much overrated as really, really, really disliked.

I think that more or less sums it up.
