In my mind it is I don't care what UFC wants to tell us. Fact is Dan hardy has lost 3 in a Row and the Miller Vs Henderson fight may decide who gets the next shot at the title.

So why is a guy that has lost 3 in a Row in Dan Hardy getting the main event spot over guys like Jim Miller and Ben Henderson? I am not a dan Hardy hater because he does put on exciting fights ut the fact is he loses those fights how is he a credile main event fighter? and Yet as guy like Jim Miller who has won what 7 in a row? and whose only losses as far as I am aware although it is possile that I missed some are to the guys that are fighting for the title in Edgar and Maynard has to take a backseat to the guy that could very well be fired if he loses again? WHY? WHY is that the case why isw Miller Vs Henderson not presented as the main event?

In my Opinion it shouild be and it is.
for some reason my post was deleted so I am re posting

I agree, but it probably boils down to name recognition. Casual fans may not be familiar with Smooth or Miller, but they would know Hardy from the GSP title fight and Lytle has had more exposure as well.

Just my two cents.

I feel kind of bad for Henderson as he is not having much luck getting easy opponents. Miller is a beast and I expect him to win, although it should be a very good fight. The Cerrone - Oliveira fight should be good too although Cerrone looked like a steaming pile in his last fight.

are you sure it was Cerrone you are remembering? Cause from what I remember he kicked the legs out from under the last guy he fought.

Hardy also has pretty good submission defense so I don't think an opportunity will present itself unless it is created by striking.
Lytle has won 4 of his last 5 fights so I wouldn't say he isn't interested in winning. It's obvious that he wants to make fights exciting but he isn't stupid about it.

He won't be stupid about it but I think he is willing to disregard a possible advantage for an exciting fight, especially with the comments he made about rumble

Easy, nobody outside the mma community knows about Henderson or Miller. Lots know Dan Hardy and he brings a sizable UK viewship. Considering this is a free card it is a good way to show off Miller and Henderson to the many who probably aren't all that familiar with them.

Tomorrow will be Chris Lytle's last fight. He is retiring.

Hopefully he goes out with a bang. 1st round KO and a nice $65K bonus.

I just saw that on Sherdog...

He'll be remembered as one of the ones who went out and put it all on the line every time he stepped into the octagon.

So weird. If I was him, I'd fight and then retire after the fight in the octagon. Good luck to him in the fight and afterwards.

Props to Lytle for knowing when to call it. Headlining a UFC card is definitely a nice way to end a solid career.

I generally expected this to be Chris' last fight, especially after how he was talking after the Ebersole loss. He sounded like he was very close to being done after that fight, and when this fight got announced i was a little surprised. good for him for knowing when to hang em up though.

why should Henderson be given easy fights? If he is as good as people think he is he should be able to beat guys like Jim miller, Frankie edgar, Gray Maynard, Clay Guida and the rest of the top guys in the divsion.

Yeah, Cerrone handled the guy, but he certainly didn't look great doing it.
