I went with Thompson as well. Haven't seen much of him really but historically the Pens do well signing college free agents.
We're at the point where you could realistically slot in anyone but it's still early enough for some people to be violently upset that someone isn't off the board yet. I call this time "August".
August is hell. Seriously. The Pirates just turned into a pumpkin, and I no longer like the Steelers enough to follow training camp. I'm actually following the BC Lions because their quarterback went to college in the town where I grew up.
I'm torn on who to vote for. There's a bunch of players that are interchangeable right now, depending on what criteria you use (ie. closeness to NHL, potential, etc.).
On a side note, is Sneep considered a bust? He was a high draft pick, but he's not even getting much attention even this late into the prospect polls.
I'm on the same boat. You can't really go wrong with a lot of the players available right now. I'm more curious to see who's going to be left off the list now, it's looking like some good players aren't going to make it.
As for Sneep, I don't think it's safe to consider him a bust just yet. He didn't have a bad for first pro-season but it wasn't a great one either. It seemed like he playing time was pretty limited as well. But it's looking like if he doesn't make any good strides this year in the AHL that may be as far as he'll go in his career, we'll see.
Hanowski hasn't put up anywhere near the points that I thought he would in college. He's finally an upper classman though, and this is the year where the biggest jump in development tends to occur. I wouldn't be too down on him yet until we see how he fairs this year.
