Yup, first thing that came to mind. All that hype just to say Oilers Lunch is coming to Ched (Prediction), when some people had heard about it days ago.
You guys realize it was the Oilers who announced there'd be an announcement right? Tencer gave us the time, and then said he can't announce it when inevitably, many asked him what it was.

It was a tweet that said tune into 630 CHED though. I highly doubt this is as surprising as it is being made out to be. Anything major would be a presser for sure.

I've heard that infamous "tune in" line before. Got me hook, line and sinker, like a mook. Waited about 45 minutes and was rewarded with... a replay of an interview from the previous day.

He's the only radio announcer I know of who doesn't actually make announcements.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope it's something like the finalizing of the arena funding, but I'd really be shocked if that were the case. One thing I am sure of, it's not a player announcement - those never happen before 10AM. Naw, this is about the radio rights fo sure...
Well, first I will tune into the Bear and listen to the big concert announcement, which will probably be Theory of a Deadman with 3 Doors Down or something like that, and then tune into the Ched to hear that Stauffer and Oilers Lunch has joined the CHED lineup.
How is that surprising? Genius advertising that only frustrates the listener.

I'll avoid tuning in for the 'big' announcement on CHED tomorrow, just like I'll be avoiding Stauffer's show now that it's on CHED and continuing to avoid listening to Rutherford, Hall, Primeau and especially Tencer just as I've been doing for the last several years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting nothing more than Oilers Lunch being announced. My point is, it wasn't Tencer that said to tune in. It was the Oilers.
The only thing, that I've seen, Tencer do here is confirm the time to us. If people are going to hate on Tencer, at least do it when it's with just cause. He did absolutely nothing here. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
