Gaborik being shopped for defense. Kings among front-runners

‏@Aportzline 12s

#LAKings are in on Gaborik. Nothing would spike their interest more than if #Ducks land Vanek.

#CBJ GM Jarmo Kekalainen knee deep right now, trying to move Marian Gaborik. Believe they're looking for immediate help on defense.

I wonder how it feels to know you are absolutely not wanted.

So happy we are trading Gaborik our offense was good without him, so might as well use him to upgrade defense.

I wonder how it feels to have a teammate play like he did last night . He may say he likes it here, but he didn't show it by his play.

I could fill you in on that
In all seriousness, I wonder what the offer would be? Doesn't sound like a ton of interest league-wide so I imagine it wouldn't be rising stock offers

I would scratch him tonight. Put Tropp in the lineup. I can't believe that if Jarmo is going to trade him that he would risk injury with Gaborik's history. If we're looking for immediate help on defense, defensive type, how about Robyn Regehr?

Kind of hard to shop him if he's not playing, eh?

Gaborik's been in the league since he was 18, if teams don't know what he's about, they shouldn't be in a front office job.

Besides. What's the difference between him sitting and just being invisible.

He's been, at least, partially responsible for Artem's resurgence.

That being said, our defense is a tire fire right now and is certainly not playoff caliber.

Blah. Jarmo bought Gaborik low, but now he'll have to sell him even lower. Not very optimistic about the return.

Yeah...he's been out most of the season...no one know's what he's about. You're acting like he's made of glass and afraid to play him...that's where we're at. Not playing would scare more "buyers' than help. Who cares anyway...he's on the team, he should be playing.

Unless you've got something very close and your trade partner asks you to sit him, he should play.

I know you are probably joking, but how is Moore any different than Erixon, Goloubef, Prout, etc.... ?

Moore is Better. Not much better. But a little better. I'd do it if worst came to worst. The NYR would never do it though.

Sbisa + from Anaheim

and maybe that improves an offer from the Kings should they whiff on Vanek or whomever they like more

I guess. He wouldn't really improve this team is all I am trying to get at.

John Moore never took the next step when he was given the chance. He'll be waived sometime in the 2014 calendar year.

Kings : Buffalo sticking to guns on Toffoli. Gaborik audition a flop in Toronto. 3rd option Cammalleri now discussed, could be larger deal

Vanek is not on the ice. If the Vanek to Ana rumors become reality Gaborik could become a hot commodity, particularly if an east contender lands kesler.
