We desperately need Arod back. This lineup is way too streaky.

If we don't come back this game is on Joe not only for leaving AJ in way too long but for even trotting the failure out there in the first place. Every other manager in the majors besides Girardi would've had this **** out of the rotation by now.

It is the contract that has kept him in the rotation. I wish we could trade the worthless bum.

It's sad to say, but the Jeter/Posada/Rivera era is on its last legs. This team needs an infusion of youth bigtime.

He is terrible. And his radio show is terrible also.

Mo is just going through a rough patch these last couple games. He is far from finished.

It's not just in 2's. He's been blowing games all over the place this year.

He's a top-10 pitcher in baseball. Been as good as (if not better) than Cliff Lee. Maybe even top-5.

Halladay and Kershaw have been better than Hamels in NL. In AL it's Sabathia and Verlander. You can make a case for him to be 5th or 6th best pitcher in the game this year.

Mo isn't a lock for a win like he used to be, but it's not like he's garbage. He's got an ERA of around 2.

I'm more interested in how he does in the postseason anyhow. He's still # 1 in the league mentally (that's the reason SO many closers break down after a few years), and high pressure situations don't get to him. Even after he blows the game with the home run he still puts away the next batter (unlike burnett.. gives up a home run and has a freakin meltdown) because he doesn't let it bother him.

Pagan got hurt tonight? Playing on the Mets is like being in Final Destination. No matter what you do, you're going on the DL.

Yeah, but when your GM brings in 3 other aces to pitch in front of you, the eyes that were once on you are now other places

Speaking of the Phillies... Hunter Pence!!!!

A hit in all but one game as a member of the Phillies, Houston must have been more of a black hole than it looks on the surface. Ed Wade seriously needs to go.

Niese gives up a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh. 102 pitches. And then TC sends him back out to start the eighth against the top of the order, and a guy that just took him deep. Shows you how little faith TC has in the bullpen at this point.

Makes sense, as to a man, Igarashi, Acosta, Beato and Parnell have all been AWFUL lately. You obviously don't want Byrdak facing a bunch of RHH, and it's too early for Izzy (who himself has sucked lately).

Aaaand Tejada makes an error with 2 outs, allowing the go-ahead run to score.

For a guy who supposedly is a defensive specialist, Tejada sure sucks a lot of ass with the glove.
