Smid we don't need. Omark could be good, but he has a lot of room to go (especially when you are talking about anything but offense), and we don't need to include a salary dump. I'd rather just keep Wilson and Ellis. Sorry
Value wise, maybe David Krejci from Boston? Not sure I'd do it from a Boston perspective as it would likely weaken our team heading into this season, but it should work out in the long run and help us cap wise next season. Plus Wilson is a local kid, and I'm a sucker for local kids playing in beantown.
Well I don't wanna be a downer but maybe not both Suter and Weber, got to have some cap space for the forwards. Plus I think Ellis and Ekholm>Blum and Josi I can see something along the lines of Weber Ellis then Ekholm Blum then Klein Josi. That way you got a point getting D man with a shut down guy but in Weber and Ellis's case Weber will have to cover for Ellis's defensive shortcomings but his end to end rushes and PP ability will more than make up for his lower D ability and if any one can cover for an other D its Weber.
my point is NSH is better served by being a play off cusp team 6th-10th for a cpl more yrs then their insane prospect depth catches up and then make the blockbuster trade for the top line guy they need.
Well it's been widely reported that Poile turned down a Kessel offer that involved Wilson from our side. So no thanks.

This dates back to when Boston was looking to deal Kessel. Boston was willing to sign Kessel for 3 years at $4 million a year (give or take $250,000/year depending on report). Kessel knew he could get $5+ million a year, so Boston was looking to trade him.
It came down to two teams, Nashville and Toronto... Depending on what you read, trade talks between Boston and Nashville broke down for one of two reasons: a.) Nashville was unwilling to give Kessel $5+ million a year or b.) Nashville was unwilling to part with Wilson. Either way, trade talks ended and Boston took Toronto's package for 3 draft picks for Kessel.

It wasn't widely reported as far as I know. It was rumored, though, and rumors coming out of Poile's office are pretty rare. Supposedly, a deal was in place involving Wilson, but the hang up was Poile wasn't sure Kessel would sign him so it never happened.

Poile himself said that the deal he offered Boston was, in his mind at the time, better than what Toronto gave up because it included a "top prospect.". He also said they were willing to pay Kessel the same deal Toronto gave him, and PK was agreeable to playing in Nashville with childhood friend Ryan Suter.
It was speculated among Boston fans tha the Nashville offer was a first, a second, and Colin Wilson. Someone in Boston, I BELIEVE Kevin Dupont, said that if Nashville would have included Wilson, it was a done deal. The would not, preferring to deal their top defensive prospect at the time, Jonathan Blum.
If anyone is interested, the info is probably still out there somewhere.
