I hope we see a Carcillo-******-Stalberg 4th line

Carcillo-Smith-Stalberg, Carcillo-Kruger-Stalberg, Carcillo-Mayers-Stalberg,

Would be exciting as a fourth line gets, and if they don't gell, Carcillo-Mayers-Hayes will do.

I like Carcillo-Mayers-Smith...lot of grit on that line. All of those guys can skate and hit too.

Mayers cannot skate for the life of him. Not that its necessary with those two on his wings.

And there is a little bit of offense there as well.

Yes. I'm with you on this one. The Hawks can comfortably roll 4 lines if this is the 4th.

This line, even with 4th line minutes, can do some serious damage.

Stalberg
10G 11A
Kruger
7G 19A
Carcillo
12G 12A

Plus, I like Kruger on the PK more than Mayers.

If Stalberg can continue his effort in the playoffs and use his size to hit and disrupt than I would be fine with Kruger as the 4th line center. Your 4th line doesn't need to be 3 agitators/fighters but they do need to be able to fill that role.

I think all three are pretty good agitators to be honest. Every team in the league goes after Stalberg after the whistle so you know he's doing something right. Carcillo, no explanation needed. Kruger is fearless; I think it was his first game he was cross checking Darcy Hordichuk and Hordichuk was sharing a laugh with Seabs like "Who is this little ******?"

I think that 4th line would be decent. I would like to see Kruger try and be 4 line C. Smith I feel like deserves a spot as well, but who knows what will happen.

I'd be shocked if Hayes gets a call-up this year. There are too many guys ahead of him.

Agreed, if Hayes get called up, either we packaged a bunch of guys for a superstar or injuries hit hard.

I remember that play with Kruger and Hordichuk. It made me smile. Loved seeing the kid not afraid to stick his nose in there. Gained a lot of respect points in my book. Same with when Smith stared down Bieksa. They're little things but they show a lot, at least to me.

... or Hayes makes tremendous strides in his first year as a pro and gets the call late in the year. It is not likely to happen, but it's not impossible either.

I'd love to have a monster on our team, not named John Scott.... especially as a PF.

We still have BB. He's closer to being that player than anyone else in the system.

They go after Stalberg because they know he is the one guy they can slap around with absolutely no worry of retribution.

They go after Stalberg also because he is a threat with his speed alone.... and he has learned quickly how to use his big body on the forecheck.

And we now have the presence of Carcillo (and others) to insert on the 4th line which should go a long way to alleviate the cowards, like Bieksa, who will have someone to report to if they try and pull their antics under the guise that they are tough guys.

He has learned to use his size in a way that is somewhat effective. He doesn't have the hate in his body to use his size in the way he should.

Leaf fan here...But at least Stalberg stood up for himself even tho he was jumped from behind by Bieksa...and VS is not... nor... never will be a fighter!

Hate him for standing up to one of the best fighters in the League even tho he doesn't fight?? Where is Colton Orr when you need him!!!
