Good news for french hockey. One the very few decent prospects we've produced in years.

Those numbers don't exactly inspire confidence. Is he a jersey-filler or do the Habs have any actual expectations for him? Anyone watch him play?

I guess we needed him, we only have:

Price
Budaj
Lawson
Delmas
Mayer

Lawson, Delmas and Mayer might never play in the NHL, so after Budaj we need to develop and maintain better NHL and backup goalies of our own.

I still think we should of drafted Jake Allen in 2008 or Olivier Roy in 2009

Yeah, we should of used a high draft pick for a goalie, when we just used a top5 pick to draft one.

Judging by those numbers he was probably invited to instill some confidence in our players.

Overall, good luck to him in camp.

Can't see him being more than just a body to put between the pipes. He's small, and apparently not particularly good.

Yeah I know, that's why I was also wondering if anyone had seen him. The stats could lie, but they're certainly not promising

Chris Gibson was great for that same Chicoutimi team. Rouyn was just awful

Gusse was the defensive rookie of the year in 09-10 in the Q but last year couldn't stop a beachball

You're right. I forgot Gibson looked really solid for them.

Just noticed Gusse (lol) is 5'9" and 166! I know you gotta be somewhat light to be agile enough for lateral movement and whatnot, but that is seriously undersized for a goalie. Yes I know smurf this smurf that, but still.

He's invited because Quattrocchi couldn't make it this year.

Then we can chant GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSE everytime he makes a run of the mill save. It'll help offset all the BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO's coming whenever Gomez touches the puck after a bad stretch of games.

he did good in rouyn

we had a very very very bad team (finished dead last in the league) but he gave us some hope and we had some better times after he came with the team

dont put too much trust into those stats

he might not be a great goalie but he's certainly good and certainly has some potential
