Perfectly OK, especially on HFBoards.

apples and oranges.

Bos Red Sox / NYY have decades of hatred/rivalry.

Vanc / Bos do not. Well, it is off to a good start though...

You probably live a pretty hate filled life living in Comox then lol...

Sad thing is Lucic's cup should be more celebrated than any other player from around here. The guy came out of no where to crack our local WHL team, and then lead us to a Memorial Cup win. His ties to this city far outweigh anyone else.

Clearly it's because they are just simply better fans than we are. Most of their fans on this site were either filling diapers or non-existent when the Oilers were anything more than a joke, but that doesn't stop them from acting how they do on this site. As much as they say they hate Dan Tencer, they do a pretty good job of mimicry.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't understand why people on here have such a hard time computing that the actions and thoughts of one does not respresent all. A few stupid people unsurprisingly did something stupid and an entire city/fanbase is expected to assume the responsibility for it? Yes, this generalization happens across the board but the only reason why stupid generalizations and stereotypes exist is because you have plenty of stupid people who fuel it and carry it on.

It sucks that he can't share it with his hometown publicly because I'm sure there are a ton of people there that would have loved to been a part of the celebrations of one of their local boys - like the many in the Vancouver jerseys who gave him a standing ovation at Rogers Arena when he hoisted the Cup after the Bruins game 7 win.

Reap what you sow. The Canadian Media has no qualms with using the south as acceptable targets.

And if the Canucks had won, and say, Max Lapierre was from Boston and wanted to have a public celebration with the Cup, I wouldn't imagine Bruins fans taking too kindly too it.

As for that ridiculous comment about the Sedins insulting Milbury, maybe idiots in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Milbury should have kept his stupid mouth shut if he didn't want his pathetic failures rubbed in his miserable little face. Also, I was unaware that when Mike Milbury goes on an NBC national broadcast he's doing so as a representative of the Bruins. Good to know.

They shouldn't.

I'm just pointing out the flaws in that previous argument. People old enough to remember the 5 Cups are in their mid 30's or older. Obviously, it's not them but the younger crowd that are ones who are most likely to cause this kind of trouble.

Whoever canceled this needs to grow a sack. Hire security guards and beat up whoever causes trouble.
