So i was looking over some stats, and other than pat burns most the longest a coach has lasted in montreal has been 3 years (numbers are below). I just thought it was interesting on its own, but then i thought about JM.

Do you guys think the organization might do anything to Martin if we dont make it past the first round? or will he he the one to break the 3 year curse?

Personally i dont like martin much, but the man really knows how to coach this team in the playoffs.

I think his last 2 seasons, well post seasons have been successful. Yes we got knocked out in the 1st round, up against any other team, i think we would have made it past the 1st round and possible second again but it was just Bostons year.

Bernie Geoffrion, 1979
Claude Ruel, 1979–81
Bob Berry, 1981–84
Jacques Lemaire, 1984–85
Jean Perron, 1985–88
Pat Burns, 1988–92
Jacques Demers, 1992–95
Mario Tremblay, 1995–97
Alain Vigneault, 1997–00
Michel Therrien, 2000–03
Claude Julien, 2003–06
Bob Gainey, 2006
Guy Carbonneau, 2006–09
Bob Gainey, 2009
Jacques Martin, 2009–present

JM will break the three years curse.

He is competent/decent and the team is good.

I agree. He's an experienced coach and will be given the benefit of the doubt first when the team isn't playing well. Blaming the rookie coach won't be an option. It will take a lot for him to be fired. I expect him to be here for 5+ years.

I feel juvenile saying but the league really did make it Boston's year.

I believe he meant in the sense of being a sore loser.

I'm a sore loser when people cheat against me too.
