If we brought Jason Allison back for a cup of coffee don't know what the harm would be in having a look at Drury with no strings attached. If his knee is rehabbed enough that he could contribute well and good at a min. salary, if not, thanks for the pre-season memories.

I think that thought shot out the window if Lombardi is truly healthy. With Lombardi Healthy we have Bozak, Dupuis and Boyce all fighting for the fourth line role and adding Drury would not be worth it. Not to mention Ziggy and Colborne also in the mix as well.

Colborne is not really in the mix at all though. He's supposed to be a top 2 centre, we won't give him limited minutes on the 4th line. Its likely he sees a full year as our top line AHL centre, but remains the likely call up for any injuries to Connolly or Lombardi.

He will be in the mix if Connolly or Lombardi go down. He won't get fourth line minutes I agree, but to say he is not in the mix would be a mistake. agree ?

It could be a good move to bring in a veteran goaltender for training camp to set an example and provide some leadership around the team. The Leafs goaltending group is very young and lacking that Giguere type character at the moment.

The Giguere type didn't exactly make Gustavsson better so I think his leadership and character is irrelevant here.
