He is getting one. he has been injured and once he shows he is ok at this camp and tourny, then they will make a offer he is 100% in the plans if healthy
Glad to hear this. Will have someone to protect and grow up with the kids on the Whale. Maybe he can even push for a roster spot in a few years (Rupp replacement?)
Never really to familiar with the Traverse City tourney but id be very interested in watching this year. Have they released the schedule yet? If not when does this tourney usually take place? Thanks for the help!
Yep...They let em go in this tournament. In the past there were quite a few good ones. Couple years ago Didiomete KO'd someone. I think I remember McIlrath hammering someone too. Not positive. There should be some good scraps this tourney. Like a gunsligers battle...guys were seeing where they stacked up against the competition. Honing thier skills.

Saturday, September 10 - NY Rangers vs. St. Louis (7:00 PM)
Sunday, September 11 - NY Rangers vs. Dallas (6:00 PM)
Tuesday, September 13 - NY Rangers vs. Carolina (3:30 PM)
Wednesday, September 14 - TBD (depending on standings)
It will be interesting to see the battle of the mighty mites too. 7 of the 14 Rangers forwards are under 6ft! All of the defenseman are over 6ft.
That's why guys like Wilson and Yogan will be in high demand on those top lines. Players like Thomas, Bourque and St. Croix aren't going to be ass effective unless hey have someone protecting them and buying them space and time.
If anyone is going to have a monster tournament, it is going to be Christian Thomas. I have feeling the hype machine (on him) will head into overdrive after the tourney commences.
Hasn't Yogan been a center everywhere he's played?
Expect him to play center in this tournament. The Rangers have been working with him on face offs, which he already showed he was good at at development camp.
Gordon and Clark were excited about signing Stajcer so I want to see what he's capable of.
I also want to see if Miller and Parlett can raise their games to the challenge of a tourney like this. I would expect nothing less of Erixon and Hagelin.
Time for Yogan to show me something and make me a fan, because so far, I'm not a believer.
Ryan Borque would have to look like Ryan Callahan in order to make me think he shouldn't be traded this deadline.

Not totally sure, but I put him at wing for a number of reasons. There appears to be a logjam at center already according to the roster, and it's much easier for a center to play on the wing then vice versa. Also from everything I've read (I haven't really noticed it when I've watched Yogan), but he appears to be a tad lazy in his defensive responsibilities and also apparently lacks hockey sense. Seems like he won't stick as a center in the NHL if he makes it. Not to mention the footage of him powering his way to the net during the prospects camp screams winger to me. Regardless, he'd be a great fit with some of our smaller, more skilled prospects, whether it be as a center or a winger. I'm sure a guy like St. Croix, Miller or JAM could just as easily switch to the wing.
Yeah thatll be a fun line to watch, although I hope Miller is developed as a winger (not that this tourney will greatly effect that).

I plugged Miller in at Center earlier, but something I noticed when I saw him playing against Finland during the US tryout camp was that Grimaldi took his faceoffs for him. In that case we could put Yogan at first line center with Hagelin and Thomas at his wings, with Miller/Bourque on the second line. Both have experience at Center, so it would be at the coaches discretion who would be taking faceoffs.
a friend of mine covers the tournament for a bunch of websites and jr team sites and he said it was sent to him from the Tournament so they can prep their notes.
Really cool that this is going to be on MSG. This will be my first time watched just about all of these players. Sweet, hockey starts al that much earlier this year!

Cool, I figured it was something like that. Thanks for posting it here.
