OEL to Flyers

Okay, so I know his value is painfully high, but I also know that the Flyers could use a young, solid dman like Ekmann-Larsson and even more intriguing is that Phoenix is in desperate need of a young goalie, which we happen to have available now that we snagged Bryz. Would a deal like Bobrovsky + a first get it done for Ekmann-Larsson?
Flyers fans, I know a first is a high price, but for OEK, totally worth it. It could even require more than that, I have no idea.
Thoughts?

Where are you getting OEK from? Oliver Ekmann-Larsson is OEL.

Also, it would require more than Bob + possibly low 1st. He is Phoenix's most prized possession not named Doan, I would say.

As crazy as it sounds, they might want Schenn. Or maybe Bob + Couturier.

It didn't to me, but I can't speak for others. Nothing that needs to be blown out of proportion, just a simple edit is all it takes. It was just a mistake.

Bob and a 1st I'd do. Add anything of much value more and I wouldn't.

Of course you would, but Yotes wouldn't. Schenn or Couturier need to go the other way for Yotes to even consider this.

Of course you would. Why give up anything of value when you figure you can just rip them off.

Bob sucks and the first will be low.

The first Flyers proposal in a long time and it's kind of a bad one.

Flyers have a pretty solid top 5 d-corps in Timonen, Pronger, Carle, Meszaros, and Coburn. How can they fit in OEL?

Which is stupid from the Flyers POV, hence why I wouldn't do that. DERP.

Coyotes fans, please welcome.......yoooooooooooour starting goaltender......Jaaaaaaaasoooon.....LaaaaaBarberaa aaaaaaaa.

Jason Labarbera, Mike Smith, Curtis Mcelhinney. Bob is easily better than those three. He's also considerably younger and has a salary the Yotes could manage.

Timonen and Pronger are gone after 3 years.

One of Carle/Cobourn are probably gone after this year.

That would be interestin because i think SC was born in Phenoix....How many NHL's can be the Home town kid from Phenoix.....with that potential....

Yeah, but you and I could form a tandem almost as good as those 3 and that's not saying much.

Mike Smith he might only be slightly better than. If the Coyotes really wanted him, they'd give Philly a 3rd.

I'd jump at a deal Of Bob +1st for OEL... however I don't think Coyotes fans would. Schenn is off limits considering if he's gone that means Talbot or Betts would become our 3rd line center and they would be crazy to trade Couturier after he practically fell into their laps at the draft not even 2 months ago.

So, you want what is probably the highest valued prospect commodity (young outstanding potential dman) and your willing to give up the lowest valued prospect commodity (goaltending)? Buy hey, you will throw in a 1st, even if that 1st is probably a late one?

Remember all those offer that Philly got for Giroux before he became a regular? Remember your reactions? Now sit down as a Coyote fan and think about your offer.

Don Maloney pretty much stated in black and white that he he chose Mike Smith at 2m per for 2yrs over Vokoun for 4m+ for 3yrs because he liked Smith better as a fit than Vokoun.

Maloney, Tippett, Sean Burke and Mike Smith all seem to feel that Smith will be the perfect fit for this team. His size, age, athletisism, puck moving prowess, and attitude they seem to feel will gel perfectly with the teams personnel and system. Smith has done well for Tippett in the past, as has a similar goaltender in Turco. The idea is that Tippett's systems and Smiths strengths and weakness are perfectly matched.

Myself, I think they are full of ****, and I'm utter depressed by the whole thing. I feel that this management group bought their own snake oil and shot themselves in the foot by not immediately jumping on Vokouns first offer. 3yrs, 15m? Sure!

What we on message boards think, though, does not matter. We look at the pro goalie depth for this franchise and we laugh. Our management team grins confidently.

The Coyotes brass are quite pleased with the goaltending situation. Unfortunately.

OEL would cost at least Schenn. Don't like it? Feel free to kick rocks. You are asking for our most talented player. We ought to ask for Giroux.

There isn't a quality discussion to be made here.

OEL isn't going anywhere. No team will offer enough. I'm sure we value him more than anyone.

But Carter might get it done. Errrrr maybe Richards. Errrrr what other center is available??

schenn + first. don't care if that's too much. i have a wood for OEL, and would give a nut to get him on the bruins.

So basically trade their top prospect for an above-average goalie just because hes better than what they have. Makes sense.

Going forward from now philly should be in win now mode. Aany package phoenix would accept would almost certainly be classified as a win later kinda moove imo.

Really, schenn would be the exception, but I can't imagine schenn getting traded for anytthing less than a massive overpayment at this point

I said I, personally, wouldn't want to trade much more than that for OEL. What I was referring to there was the guy saying Bob is bad.

The Flyers are in no position to overpay right now. They just restocked their cupboard, why overpay now? They're not going to get OEL.
