Odds say, if you're a PC gamer, either you or one of your 3 buddies plays it.
I used to be a huge DOTA player, and was immensely skeptical about LoL before joining in... but Riot has really managed to get me hooked. The balance and champion dynamics are excellent, and the IP/RP system are integrated extremely well.
Any other players? If so, post your Username, and maybe we can rock some competitive together?
I'm on a bit of a jungling spree lately; started with Warwick, and started owning face with him (which is pretty easy to do). Moved on to Trundle, who is a ton of fun and criminally underused. Then I rocked a few with Shaco before realizing he does literally nothing for a team, and now I'm onto Udyr, who's offensively overpowered.
Yea it's the game i've been maining for a while (since november 2010)
Still hooked
Stayed far away from Ranked until they announced rewards based on Elo, not because i feared i would be the weak link, because i thought others would drag me down
I'm 23-13 1433 Elo so far, i'll probably try to get the silver Elo badge, sucks that i'll be missing out on the Jarvan skin though
Last time I played it was December lol. I think I'm gonna go back and try it because it seems to have gotten very popular and I did find it fun when I had the time to play it.
Yeah I played alot of dota myself a couple of years ago.. But I've never really liked LoL... I dont know what it is, it doesnt do it for me at all. I even prefer HoN
I started playing it this week. Mastering Annie now, I liked playing with Morgana but her inability to kill was frustrating me. I was an excellent support player, helping my friend who was manning Jax to get kills.

And I'm glad for it! I haven't played against other humans yet, getting the hang of the ropes against AI for now.
AI games are hilarious. I recall one time I was learning Warwick and my team was awful. We almost lost but I was so fed I solo'd Baron and squashed them all. I finished 50-3-16. Another time I was Akali and they had pushed us to the Nexus (again, terrible team), it was me and a Cho'Gath who could actually play and I finished 53-11-13. When I play vs humans, I suck as Warwick and Akali.
That being said AI games are essential to learning the basics of a champion without wasting your and your team's time in human games.
I played the Starcraft equivalent, it was ok for a bit but found it difficult to get the precision micro down to be very effective, and when the spells start flying everywhere and colour splashes across the screen I lose sight of whats what.

The worse is when you've downed the enemy hero to 20% health and you're going in for the kill, and he starts running away, your player auto-follows and gets nuked by turrets/ganked by enemy mobs. Gotta always pay attention to what your fella is doing, because things happen so quickly.
I've never heard of this game, not much of a pc gamer either though.
Should I give it a try?
If you've never played a Dota-like game be prepared to have people berating you. More so than any other game. It comes with the territory. Try it if you enjoyed heroes in WC3, though.
Hey newbies add me in game we'll play beginner bot games, i'll give you guys time to learn the shop and everything while i carry you and 1v5 the enemy team
Make sure you play the tutorial and battle training first time you log in the game too, it helps a bit and give you enough Influence Points to buy a 450 IP champion, like Annie who's absurdly easy and OP
I also play LoL, a bit too much for my liking. It's a fun game, but sometimes I get fed up with teammates or myself. I don't play ranked mainly because I doubt I am good enough to carry the team.
If anyone wants to play, just hit me up. I am mainly on EU NE, but sometimes on NA server.
