2011 Predators Mt. Rushmore

Pick any 4 Predator players/personalities/coaches/managers and put them on the mighty Predators Mt. Rushmore!

EDIT: This is all time, not only current.

I forgot to put a check on Trotz

So add one if it comes down to it

Trotz, Weber, Legwand..... last one can't decide.. I'll go with Johnson to represent the old guard

Sullivan should be a choice IMO. If he wasn't injured for so long then he'd be a shoe-in

Can a mod add Sully? Can't believe I forgot him

For me:

Poile and Trotz for obvious reasons.

Weber: our first homegrown captain. our first homegrown superstar. the guy who gives us credibility.

Freeman: The man who saved our franchise, though he was a martyr in the process.

HM: Legwand. our first draft pick and the single best embodiment of the Predators Way.

Poile, Legwand, Suter and Rinne.

Poile: Been with us for a long time, drafted awesome, made some weird/questionable moves but somehow managed to get them to work regardless.

Legwand: Our first draftee, our longest-serving player, and the quietest, most mature player on our team (arguably). A lot of people rag on him, but Legwand is one of my favorite players and I really hope he becomes the first flag hanging from the rafters.

Suter: Unsung hero. If any more info needed, I'm sure 303 has 4 or 5 articles on Suter.

Rinne: derp

It took me a little while to figure it out, but once I did...it's a one-click process...

I've added Sullivan in place of "Other". "Other" had no votes at the time. If you still wish to vote for someone not on the poll, please do so in a message and only vote for 3 in the poll. We will count your votes in the end.

Poile and Trotz should be locks. Sully for being the first "Superstar" brought in, and Leggy (a.k.a. Mr. Predator) for the MANY 1st's as well as his dedication to the team and organization. Vokie and P.K. would be very, very close to being there, and up until last month so would #6. I would love someday to be able to switch Sully for The Captain after he's contributed MANY years of historic accomplishments to the NASHVILLE PREDATORS.

Weber and Trotz and David Freeman and Pete and Terry.

Weber because he's our first homegrown superstar

Trotz for taking this team with a low payroll and getting them to the playoffs

David Freeman was the owner who saved this team from the B-word

Pete and Terry because we could have had worse announcers but we got one of the best in Pete and Terry is a lovable cuddly bear and both done a fantastic job. I had my issues with them at times but I've definitely heard worse

If I would include more Poile and Sully and Kariya and Vokoun and Rinne...and Rinne may eventually pass Vokoun but Vokoun gave us our first playoff shutout

I did not vote for weber, so he isn't a universal lock. I went with the 4 most significan people over the entire organization's history. 4 guys that encompass all the guys on the list in longevity, and what they mean to the preds as an org.

Legwand as the player/on ice monument
Poile as the front office monument
Trotz as the on ice, yet off the ice monument
and my last one was Pete and Terry. 2 guys who have helped pioneer hockey in Nashville. I thought they have more worth to the preds as ambassadors over their time than Weber in one year as captain.

no to Weber unless he signs/stays beyond the minimum years required by the CBA.

Legwand
Poile
Trotz
Freeman(without him we wouldnt even be here talking about our hockey team)

Trotz and Leggy seem like easy choices; all the rest I think you can argue relative merits. I think - although I'm sure the idea would get roundly booooooood - Liarpold should get some consideration, and ahead of Freeman, cause you couldn't have Freeman step up with his bold vision to put the group together and save the team if Craig hadn't stepped up and backed putting a team in a non-traditional market in the first place.

PK isn't on the list but his signing was arguably as important as getting Sully.
Weber - over Suter? Heck - how do you pick one over the other?

That's 3 tough calls for the other 2 spots, IMO, and that still doesn't consider Poile.

Right now, today, I pick Liarpold and Suter to go with Trotzy and Leggy.

Im shocked that Forsberg hasn't gotten a single vote. Obviously I didn't vote for him, but his acquisition was the first sign to the rest of the NHL that we wanted to win and for playing for keeps. it was a massive moment for our franchise.

I think the event was significant but I don't think that Forsberg was significant.

He may have forced people to start taking Nashville seriously, but didn't really stay long enough to impact the team itself.

It seems to me that Poile and Trotz should almost go together like Peter and Terry. Same could be said for Weber and Suter.

All of those groups, deserve to be there, and it's hard to imagine one without the other.

I said Trotz, Poile, Weber, and begrudgingly Pete & Terry

I probably would have added Kariya, Mitch Korn, Timonen, Fitzgerald, and Tootoo just to be complete....not that any of them would have been in the running.
