Who all is here?

I'm pretty impressed by DSP's work ethic and his game but his conditioning is obviously under where it should be.

Rakell needs ALOT of work. Skating is sloppy, hasn't connected most of his passes... Could be nerves but either way not impressed at all.

Sexton looks like he's ready to challenge for a spot, good to see.

I'll give more info later, I wanna watch!

Nothing that’s going to make me miss any time....took advantage of the trainers here... A little ice and some Advil, and I’ll be good to go tomorrow.
Ryan on his situation on Ducks twitter.

PS
Acording to Oil fans, Foster is the guy who you should be aware of when things go to injurying your teammate. Dunno if this was the case this time though.

Has Bonino done anything notable besides skating really slowly?

I don't think Foster was out there.

Did Fowler still look off? Cause I saw him get beat by Blake in one of the drills.

Defensively he looked pretty on to me. He impressed me for sure. Sbisa looked good as well.

That's good. What about the rookies? Who looked good?

I still think Deschamps surprises and makes the roster. Nobody among the rookies really jumped out at me today. Bonino looked better, beat Ryan in a couple skating drills, still really slow though. He also undressed Smaby in a 2v2 drill. Much better showing for him.

Maroon is too slow to make the team. AHL for him.

McMillan looks confident and easily a tier above other guys who are auditioning for a spot. His goal should be 40 points this year.

Gordon is probably going to get a shot out of the gate, or at least early in the season, but I don't think he is big enough for a bottom six role.

Sexton is still Sexton. Take that as you will.

Tarkki has potential but seems rough around the edges. I really like what I saw from Gibson so far.

Koivu has been one of the best players so far.

Palmieri will make the team, in my opinion. Holland will not. He isn't mentally ready yet.

Also, there is a lot of instruction going on at this year's camp. It's almost like a teaching seminar out there. I like it a lot from the standpoint of the kids who can take things to work on to their respective leagues.

One more note: I'm expecting a huge year from Getzlaf. He looks very fit, and he is the unquestioned leader on the ice. Tons of players are going to him for questions.

I got there at 10:15 so i only got to see the 2nd group but Like I said earlier DSP knows how to hustle. I was impressed with every aspect of his game except his conditioning didn't look up to par with everyone else. He slowed down pretty bad towards the end.

Schofield looked decent, I was impressed with his offensive game. Carlyle didn't the fact he screwed up a drill or two though

Rakell was completely underwhelming which can be expected from a kid his age.

Deschamps' game has improved alot since last year, he was quiet today but for me that was a good thing.

Bobkov looked good, I have trouble judging goalies but he carries a confidence with him.

Tarkki impressed me a lot but, as I said before...

What about DSP, Palmieri, Holland, Etem? Think one of those guys have a chance to make the team?

Going by Edmonton's recent history they probably traded us damaged goods.

Bobby's is a groin issue too

Quote:
– A few Ducks left the Honda Center ice banged up after the two practice sessions. Bobby Ryan was one as he came off early nursing a groin strain that he suffered during a battle drill in the corners.

“It’s a little tight,” he said. “Not the time of year you want to fight through it and let anything flare up that can turn into something bigger. I thought I’d be a little wise to come in and make sure it was taken care of right away. Nothing that’s going to make me miss any time or anything like that.”

Ryan said he expects to take part in Monday’s lone camp scrimmage. ”A little ice and Advil and I’ll be good to go tomorrow,” he said. ”Nothing killer. I don’t want to see it get away from us.”

With Palmieri looking really good and lots of coverage surrounding him I also think he might very well make the team. I don't think our Holland-Palmieri duo will start the NHL together like I dreamed but that's fine.

Yah it sounds like Palmieri's a strong possibility to make the team out of camp.

Also in this video

At about 32 seconds someone is keeping stride with Fowler. I think it's Deschamps. I don't remember him being that quick before. I'd put him as another favorite to make the team.

Yeah looks like Deschamps to me. Would be nice if he was a surprise out of camp, but if Palmieri and DSP look good I'm not sure he would be with the team right away. Maybe as a call up during the year if those two start to slump.

Actually he could slot into the 4th. He's played some center right?
