The 11/11 game vs Wash should have a good crowd, but this one on National TV has the chances of being a clunker in the stands for all to see.
Tue. 11/8 Carolina vs. New Jersey 7:30 PM
I think I will sell my season tickets for that game and buy tickets lower level/behind the goal during the STH presale to fill up a few normally empty seats in that location.
I realize I'm on the inside looking out, but about the Devils not getting NBC games, for NBC I understand why they do that. Those teams listed above (Caps Flyers Bruins Pens Rangers Red Wings Blackhawks) are generally high offense teams (maybe not the Rangers as much), and scoring draws fans. On the other hand considering the rivalry with the Rangers, you'd expect them to put at least one of those games on.

Those teams also happen to play in the biggest TV markets in the country. You think NBC is going to go with Columbus vs Nashville over Boston vs Philadelphia, or Detroit vs Chicago? No, they're going to go with the matchup most likely to give them ratings. It may not be fair to the other teams in the league, but it is what it is.

Also true. Either way you look at it, those teams are guaranteed ratings.
Does everyone here have to whine like 3 year olds about things that don't matter?
I agree with him 100%. Unless you have no other access to the games (No CI, etc.), what's the difference what channel the game is on?
It does matter when we're listening to ****ing Cangialosi when we could be listening to Doc, if only for a game or two. If Doc does our Versus games then I don't really care about not having any NBC games.

If you're in the area...doesn't it get blacked out on Versus?

All games are exclusive to Versus unless they are specifically marked (non-exclusive) on the schedule on NHL.com. Looking it over I didn't see any non-exclusive games for the Devils. So anything on Versus won't be on MSG.
I think what happened in that regard is they expanded the number of games they broadcast by 40, but didn't expand the maximum number of times a team could exclusively be on in order to protect the local broadcasters (as is the local telecast are losing 2nd round coverage of the playoffs to NBC and Versus/NBC Sports Network). So the teams that appear the most on Vs have a couple non-exclusive games.
