Why anyone would want the summer to end quickly is beyond me, the only thing that will happen when it's over for me is that work will be easier.

Best way to kill time is to go out and have fun.

However, it will be nice when hockey finally starts up again.

Norman James recently did an interview with Nazim Kadri for his London radio show called The Hook which aired last night. Its about 10 mins into the hr 2 podcast so be patient ,its well worth it.

If it's a boy, name it after whoever scored the game winner.

Forwards Nazem Kadri, Joe Colborne, Luca Caputi, Matt Frattin and Jerry D’Amigo, and defensemen Jake Gardiner and Jesse Blacker are all in their early 20s and deserve a closer look. The only way to do that is thrust them into the fire, which is the only true way to evaluate what the organization has in terms of talent going forward.
Play the kids.

I hope we avoid that and work from within our current system to build and get these young guys into the NHL system gradually.

If you don't already have PVR, get it, if you don't want to miss mass amounts of the season. Trust me.

Squiffy, honestly, I don't know what's in store for me. I know it's up and down, sleepless nights, etc. I'm still looking forward to it

I know you got the experience, I will definitely be looking for a PVR (which I don't have now) for all the missed games.

No worries, game center live for the entire season is my plan, check that out.

I watched a lot of games on it last season, a lot of times I wouldn't be sitting down to watch until 11pm or so, desperately avoiding the internet and any other places I might accidentally see or hear the score. Being able to pause for you-never-know-what-next is huge too. But it was a whole lot better then missing them all together.

Nobody knows what's in store for them IMO, I sure didn't, just gotta dive in head first like cold water at the cottage. And ya, you're looking forward to it, it's a blast man. Exhausting, but a blast.

Had 3 of them, including twins.

Sunday night watching hockey and my wife says we have to go to the hospital because she's in labour with the twins. First child was 36 hours of labour so I wasn't in a hurry, and so I say when the game's over.

Anyway, we get to the hospital and 6 hours later she gives birth.

It is all about sharing the burden. I can sleep at the drop of a hat so I always took the late feeding and middle of the night/morning feeding. Formula, my wife was too dehydrated from carrying the twins and her doctor ordered her not to breast feed. You can of course express mothers milk so you can't use that as an excuse to not do it

Oh and when you are getting home from work, don't even bother asking if the baby needs changing because it will. Why bother changing the kid when Dad will be home in 30 minutes.

You can proactively feed the kids at certain times, you'll train them and my suggestion is about 20 minutes before the game starts. A full tummy and a couple burbs and you're good for at least 2-3 hours.

Those early days fly by and before you know it you're missing games because you have to take youngster to hockey/soccer/basketball all of the above practice.

The absolute most important part of your life will be starting soon.
