Kessel at Bauer Pro Camp "Hardest Shot" competition

Kid can hang with the best of 'em, who knew his clapper was so strong?

Wow, Kessel. I knew he had a decent/good slapshot, but seeing him hit 98, then 102, then 104 Please use this to score some goals!

"He shot like 104.55 how are you supposed to beat that"
You shot 104.12

Everytime I see Henrik Lundqvist not in game mode he seems like a really cool guy.

Nice job Phil!

Kessel 104 and Schenn who is not known for his shot can get up to 90 is pretty damn impressive. Wonder how hard Phaneuf can shoot the puck.

"It just goes to show you don't have to be the biggest guy to shoot hard"

I'd hate to be a hockey dad right about now.

It would be nice if he USED IT!

If he opened up and worked on his one timer and slapper, he's be a much more versatile scoring machine. I like his world class wrist shot but I'd love if he used the one timer more often for example on the power play like Stamkos.

I really didnt expect a smallish forward like Kessel to hit 104...despite being bettered by Stamkos still very impressive...hope to see him unleash that slapper more often now.

I'd hardly call 90 mph "pretty damn impressive"...

Kessel had the hardest slapshot at the Leafs skills competition last year.

I would have never guessed that he had power behind his shots like that.

Hoping he uses it from time to time this upcoming season now.

I agree. It must not have been his best day. He hit 94mph at the CHL skills game as a 17-year-old. I'd be surprised if he can't shoot harder than that now.

104 is insane for Kessel. I never thought he had it in him.

Stamkos has St Louis setting him up though, who's a top 5 playmaker. Our best playmaker was probably MacArthur. I think Kessel-Kulemin-MacArthur could work on the PP, both guys on their off wing, Kulemin in front and on the draw.

Why not just Kulie-Connolly-Kessel

Where do you get that number that NHL average is 85? While I agree that it's not bad bad, it certainly doesn't scream PP point man either.

People know this is 2010 right? Not sure why people are saying he should use it "now". He could have last season too.
