Would love to see Westy sporting the #17 and replicate the fighting season that Matt Johnson put up in 97-98.

Can't wait to see him play.

Anyone know which number he'll be wearing? He wore #18 in Edm. Hopefully, he can take nice prime number 17.
Apparently there are a number of numbers never worn according to the other thread. Give him one of those so we can fill in a blank.

I think it was supposed to read "and I would love to see him waved."

Because we know Kurri's love for Westgarth is only surpassed by that for Stoll.

I had logged off but then I saw this and couldn't resist.

FYI, Moreau is averaging 1 penalty every 2 games. It's just unfortunate that a couple of penalties were magnified but nonetheless, 18 pims in 21 games prior to tonight's game isn't all that bad.

It's too bad that you can't channel all your energy into something good than something always negative. I feel sorry for you.

20 PIM's this season, all minor penalties. Sorry, that's horrible and completely unacceptable, especially with his offensive production wholly lacking.

You guys scared me. Thought they signed him to an extension. Fragments of my head could be recovered from the moon if that happened

It's pretty bad. He also has 11 more points than Moreau and is a +4, and he draws at least one minor penalty or better every game.

Considering Brown just about DOUBLES Moreau's ice time it's no where near as bad. Plus DB draws way more than he takes, something Moreau will never do.

How great is Ethan Moreau?

471 in the league with 0 goals
452nd with a -3
400th in the league with 3 assists
467th in the league with 3 total points.

But hey, he's pushing for top 100 in penalty minutes, 107th place with 20. Why is this tool getting 10 minutes of ice time on the THIRD line again?

You're being so silly right now. Brownie plays on the 2nd line and 1st pp unit. Moreau for the most part has played 4th line. I'm pretty certain, DL didn't acquire him for his scoring.

You can dissect it however you want but one penalty every two games is far from horrible. Not good, but not horrible either.

Not horrible? are you kidding me? for a guy getting 10 minutes of ice time it's out right horrible. I don't know why you are defending this guy so much. WTF exactly does he bring to this team?

Let me ask you this. Has any of his penalties stopped a scoring chance?

Yeah dude and that makes it even worse. A 4th liner with 4th line ice time and no fights with that amount of penalties taken is a joke. One of those two minute penalties was lucky not to be a boarding major and a suspension.

I'm afraid that is his MO. He takes a ton of minor penalties and has a real knack for taking them at critical times in games.

I forget if it was his last or second last season with the Oil he was at the top of the league in minor penalties despite dwindling ice time.

I heard some Kings players went to bat for him. I think that is just because they liked hanging with him off the ice. I thought he was past his best before date a couple years before he left Edmonton.

I seen a highlight package of a game with the Kings from a couple weeks ago. Half of the highlights were of Moreau taking dumb penalties. I have not been able to watch many Kings games this season. But I was thinking to myself that is the Moreau we all remember so well.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree because I don't think he's been as horrible as you guys are painting him out to be. He gets a pass in my book.

I just think guys like to pick on Moreau, Penner, Stoll and Parse as easy target and you guys are taking jabs at them. Believe me, if Moreau had missed an open netter much like Clifford did tonight, you guys would be all over the guy. But since Clifford is well liked and Moreau isn't, you guys just choose to overlook an open netter that could have guaranteed a victory. Seriously, how many of you guys mentioned anything about how Clifford missed that easy goal?

Clifford should probably be sent down. People have been saying that all season.

That's not what I'm talking about. Why aren't you guys bashing Clifford for his miss? Let me hear some Clifford bashing. If he had scored there, Moreau's penalty wouldn't have mattered.

If you're going to blame Moreau, you also need to blame Clifford. Not one of you chose to blame Clifford. Shame on you guys.
