Not that familiar with the Pens prospects, but is that considered a strong roster? Leafs leaving out our top d-man Gardiner and Blacker tonight which is disappointing, so not very confident in the Leaf prospect team.

Our d men playing are pretty decent, most of the forwards are invites or guys years away. Only a few that are in the AHL

That's a weak call on Astles, penalty for hitting too hard.

Roster was posted on the previous page. But here it is again:

Here's the lineup for tonight's game, with the numbers each player is wearing in front of their names. The scratches are Eric Tangradi, Brian Strait, Carl Sneep and Nick Petersen.

FORWARDS:

14 Kuhnhackl - 17 Gibbons - 24 Veilleux
19 Tarasov - 10 Street - 16 Thompson
26 Uher - 11 Sill - 18 DeFazio
27 Astles - 28 Watters - 22 Fournier

DEFENSE:

6 Morrow - 15 Bortuzzo
2 Despres - 9 Grant
5 Samuelsson - 8 Harrington

GOALTENDER:

31 Lagace

It's an alright roster. But not a whole lot to brag home about.

Also, man can Morrow skate...

Gibbons out powered someone with ONE ARM!?? That's a dive and a half, lol.

Gibbons is I guess a freak of nature, Bertuzzi like strength. Officiating in this game is terrible.

Having said that, Gibbons is an awkward looking skater.

With Hulk like strength, it doesn't matter.

Morrow was throwing his weight around pretty nicely, can't wait to see what that kid can do when he fills out a little more.

ZOMG...Leafs got a penalty and Pens on the powerplay.

I loved that check by Morrow. That guy was skating right at him and he just stood there and knocked him down.

Can someone just post up when the 2nd starts. I'm catching up on the Leafs feed, then switching over to the one that was posted here.

Some early impressions and don't forget, this is coming from an internet feed so sometimes its a bit harder to judge:

Despres looked excellent IMO. One time he got the puck with 2 forecheckers coming and another who was about 10 feet back and he skated out of trouble with the puck driving up the ice. It was pretty impressive. His strength is clear as well and he had a nice hit or two.

Morrows skating is super impressive. He had one rush where he just burned everyone up the ice. He also threw a beautiful hit and just has the "look" about him. This guy is going to be an NHLer with skating like that and just needs some seasoning. Looks almost Duncan Keithish to me.

Harrington looks pretty good as well and his skating has been good.

Not so impressed with Kuhnhackl so far. Looks weak on the puck but of course, that is something he needs to work on.
