I don't like the water in Beaconsfield. Have never had a problem in DDO or Pointe-Claire but I swear to god sometimes I've turned the tap on and yellow water comes out. Disgusting and makes you wonder not even about Ecoli but if there's urine backing up into the drinking water or something.
Usually after letting it run it goes clear but frankly I'll stick to bottled beverages.

If that happens, then it's probably to do with your pipes, or even your own tap rather than the water.

I thought so too but they've actually come by twice to fix something in the area where they specifically told people the water would be bad during that period of time. Pretty sure it's something to do with this area or the complex. I lived in an entirely different end of Beaconsfield before and the water never turned yellow but it was always not the best water that's for sure.
But anyways it's happened outside of those times as well. Personally I just think this complex is poorly maintained and I'm probably going to be leaving here shortly. There's always something with this place whether it's the power or water and hydro has done **** all to fix the power issues we've had here in 3 years. No reason you should get 10-12 power failures a year when people right down the road don't. Also no reason why on a nice summer day you have a power failure for no apparent reason. Each time it takes them so long to fix it 3-8 hours. Last time they had to bring a generator and they spent 2 days fixing it. I'm hoping they finally figured out what was causing it. The electrical work in this complex is just plain ****. You see the lights flicker/dimming all the time. Only thing I have that hogs power is my air conditioner and other tenants all have the same issues. Honestly if I find out I'm dieing in a few years because of inhaling some kind of mold or garbage insulation or something I know who I'm going to sue. If they have faulty wiring, bad plumbing and all these other issues what are the odds the insulation isn't made out of poor materials or that there isn't mold inside the walls. This is really all the reason I need to get the **** out of the place. Haven't seen anything which would suggest it but it's scary to think about.
If anybody is worried, just go to Canadian Tire and get a pack of 24 bottles for 3 bucks. Doesn't look like everybody is affected in the South Shore. Brossard did not post any warnings yet.
