you think we could get him for a bunch of 1st rounders? our 1st round pick for the next three years

thoughts?

btw it worked with a 1st and 2nd in NHL11

EDIT:
what about Parise if he agreed to an extension

I don't think there's enough space here for me to post as many "nos" as I want to.

He has 1 year left on his contract, and was just accused by his former teammate, a guy who is known as a great lockerroom presence, of not caring. I do not want this guy anywhere near the lockerroom, ridiculous skill or not. I wouldn't even be happy moving a single first for him, let alone 3.

I'd do that for Marcus Johansson, though. Then again, I'm biased.

Yes definitely, because a team ready to compete for the Stanley Cup is ready to give up one of their best players for 50 prospects.

Even if in some fantasy world we got that to work, the salary cap presents yet another dilemma.

It has also been beaten to death that Semin and Torts wouldn't get along at all, it would be a train wreck waiting to happen.

A firm a decisive no from all parties involved.

You forgot about him beating the drums with Staal though

Don't want. I want a player with heart and skill.

I don't want another Zherdev.

I'd only consider Wolski for Semin, but Wolski cares more than Semin.

Meh.. not really. We could do better. I don't want Kovalev Jr on the team. Would want to wait and see how the situation turns out with the players on our team right now. Someone might just take it to that extra level, if not we could possibly go after Parise next year, unlikely as that may be.

Might be slightly off topic, but how come Semin got 5 min + game misconduct after that little "drum solo"? My speakers on this computer sucks, and I cannot hear what Sam & Joe says

I absolutely would take a flyer on Semin. Three firsts? No way. Like I said, say what you want about him but he embarassed us in the playoffs. I take him over Wolski 10 times out of 10.

No, no, no. Sure the Rangers could use him, but there's no space for another floater on this team.

Drury embarrassed us in the playoffs too. How'd that work out?

Do not want to do anything to disrupt our locker room and culture. Semin gets a no.

How many ways can I say this?

No. no. nO. NO.

The last thing the Rangers need is Semin. I don't care how skilled he can be.

Soft and lazy are two attributes that have no place on this team.

Semin is the last player we need.

We don't need moody, lazy, divas.

I wouldn't give up a B prospect for him let alone a first round pick, not to mention three first round picks.

Ditto! I wil never understand the interest in these overpaid underachieving european floaters who dont bring it every night and to top it off, is a malcontent.

Don't need another overrated floater when we are already paying Gaborik 7+ mil.

Would love a player that can play 200 foot game, would rather give up a first for Laich than Semin.

Here here, agree 100%! Some of these fans can't seem to get enough of these lazy, soft, east west euro floaters who are allergic to backchecking and leave it on the bench more times than not. Don't we have enough of this crap with Gaborik now and Zherdev, Frolov and many others in the past?
