Russia trapping had more to do with the play being so slow.

No, chest. Looked like a glove first but in a third replay it's visible.

Didn't the puck catch Barulin's stick and get redirected, or do my eyes deceive me? To me it seemed like Granlund simply couldn't get it high enough. I wonder who's awesome enough to start a new thread for The Finnish Baby Jesus/The Stamp/w/e

The biggest problem was that Granlund was too close to Barulin, he shouldn't have slid so close. Hard to lift the puck below the bar from that range.

Granlund been nothing short of dominating against the Czechs so far.

Beautiful saucer pass to Immonen's first goal. Fluttering? You betcha.

When Granlund comes over, the Wild should sign Jarkko Immonen too.

Seriously, the chemistry these two have is umbelievable.

Edit. Wow, Granlund is on fire! Another great pass, it's 4-0 now.

Nice vid! It only missed his board pass against Sweden, beautiful.

I remember some rumors this summer about NHL teams interested in Immonen.

After two games in Karelia tournament Granlund has 0+3=3 +4. Even that he has fluttering saucerpasses I think he has been quite good

He was just AWESOME today, I'm still having troubles keeping my jaw from dropping on the table. He made some of the most humiliating dekes I've seen in a long time AND he found his teammates almost magically with his famous fluttering saucer passes.

And yes, sign Immonen too. He belongs in the NHL.

Thanks for the highlights, I said this in the prospect board, by my god, those passes are great, showing off his great vision. I kind of hope he plays on our top line with Koivu and Heatley, he needs a shooter there I would think. This would give him some time to acclimate himself to the NA game and not have the duties of a center. I really want him to start on the LW and eventually switch over to center.

And, with the seemingly emergence of Larsson, the drafting of Phillips, and the trading for Coyle, it really isn't imperative that he ever plays center. I know it's where we have all penciled him in at, but if he's better on the wing in NA, keep him there. I wouldn't want us to force him into a position when he could be more productive elsewhere.

I'm with you there, I just think he'd look good on a wing with Heatley and Koivu, but maybe I am getting ahead of myself. I can't wait to see him play here next year.

I'd like to see what a Granlund - Larsson - Setoguchi line could do (granted Granlund and Larsson are what I think they are).

Between Granlund and Bouchard, there would be a constant threat of players with the ability to pass through the eye of a needle on both scoring lines. Heatley would make it look so much easier than it really is. Then plug Granlund and Bouchard on the same PP line, tic-tac-toe.

Can't wait to see Granlund taking Mikko Koivu's place as the 1st line center of the Wild.

Did Granlund hit the crossbar there?
