Good to see Mason Raymond in that gallery but he looks smaller than ever. Poor guy, it's going to be a tough year for him.

Not only is it Polasek, but he's eating with a spoon, not with a beard.

Raymond looks like a stick-man.

EDIT:

Also weird seeing Craig MacTavish in front of the Canucks logo with reporters... very weird.

It's 2008 all over again. Let's just all hope it doesn't make him even weaker on his skates.

Friesen is not a very exciting cameraman.

for a hockey town there's been pretty poor coverage about the prospect camp and leading up to the games. I know Pratt's moved on but is there no sport's writers out there covering this like a dirty shirt??

Our media has always been **** when it comes to our prospects. Not that they're ever good.

Looks like they reversed the times for the first 2 games. Today's game is now at 7:30 and tomorrow's game is at 4. My post has been updated now.

Province article on the prospects:

http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Yo...650/story.html

* interesting comment from Babych on Connauton's back skating having improved 10 fold

* a stretch calling Tanev a man among boys at ly's tourney

* a stretch saying Sauve hasn't lived up to the hype?

* Jensen lighter than I thought at 187

Wasn't Cannata a candidate for the Hobey Baker last year? Wouldn't that make the Canucks goalie depth a little more than zilch as stated in the article?

You didn't think wrong. His weight at the draft combine was 202 pounds. Mcintyre was using info from his OHL bio i'm guessing.

Apparently the NCAA doesn't exist in Mcintyre's world? Overlooking a Hobey Baker candidate is fairly pathetic even for a Vancouver sportswriter.
