The Canucks don't have the mentality though, the media & fans do! We saw how professional this group was last year at not getting a head of themselves & it worked, why change something that worked so well? They gained the experience & now know what it takes but that doesn't mean they will forget the process that got them there.

ps. our media is filled with retards.

His skating looked better but he looked a bit nervous otherwise.

He fell maybe twice. Not exactly what I consider a lot. And it was when they were doing the contact drills against the wall.

His skating has progressed and improved. Quicker on his turns.

He started out a bit nervous, made his group restart one drill, but seemed to settle down at the zamboni break. As I mentioned, he looks good on the one on one drill against Bieksa bc he showed a lot of effort to get the puck from him, pushed him down. Drew a few cheers from the crowd.

Ellington's season was ended by concussion last season - I have not seen any report that he has recovered yet - he's likely on IR still.

Going to camp tomorrow to check it out. If anybody wants to chat, I'll be the guy with an alternate jersey no name on it, major sniffles and a black hat that says Poco on it. I'll probably be pretty boisterous too.

Signing in.

As I expected, even less people here on a Sunday. Just walked in, 1/3rd of the sections are full, if that. Sleeping in? Still a lot of time to get row 15 and below.

B has taken the ice.

Corrado one of the first on the ice with Edler. Shot a few bombs, despite have those spaghetti arms.

No roster changes. Odd, I assume those other prospects probably aren't going to skate.

Watching the blue group, archibald has flubbed 2 of 4 passes from Mancari, could have been better passes.

Ballard and tanev are very vocal on the ice when paired together. Ballards skating still looks as good as yesterday.

As for ebbett, I had a response done yesterday but I think I deleted it. He looks small tbh, smaller in size than Schroeder, same in height. Skates well, stickhandles well, but all I see is a krog-lite player.

As for this last stickhandling and passing drill, parent mishandled the puck on numerous occasions. Nolan still has a sick shot, came in on the right wing, went high blocker. Sweet.

Erixon skates smooth, enstrom smooth.

I forgot to mention that Alberts really impressed me yesterday. His skating looked quite smooth and his hands were surprisingly good for a big guy. Of course lots of his problems were between the ears. He improved leaps and bounds last season and if he has improved some more this offseason he could end up by a very good defender for us.

Archibald with a very nice shot on the 5 on 2.

Yep alberts looks good. A few good defensive plays on the 5 on 2. Took away the shooting lanes. And his skating on the last sprint was good, seemed faster than before.

Archibald showing some life, battled hard in the corner against Corrado. Pushed him around good.

Fedoruk fumbles the puck on entry of the zone and a subsequent pass. He is by far the worst player I've seen these two sessions.

Erixon took the body against Rodin that drill, took him into the boards and made a good poke check to make Rodin lose the puck. Higgins with the followup snipe high glove against legace.

Corrado with a hit against the Russian 80, who has no doubt looked skilled around the net, but looks weak physically.

Lappy tried to split the d, erixon threw a hit and defended him pretty well.

Ballard with the take down on henrik.

Polasek with an easy takeaway from Mancari.

Zamboni time!

I'm impressed with Higgins puck handling in these drills.

Nolan can still skate and stop on a dime.

Two surprisingly good players for me have been Volpatti and Dimitrakos. Showing good hustle and at least a little bit of touch with the puck. I also have to agree about Fedoruk, you can tell there is a severe skill limitation there.

so what's with bitz? is he injured or what? is he going to show up for the camp or just jump in some exhibition games?

from watching the stream it looks like right now for that last spot on the 4th it's between Nolan, Mancari and Archibald Agreed?

For me Nolan has stood out more than the others. Archibald has looked decent but he's a bit raw and Mancari hasn't really impressed me so far. Nolan can still play at an NHL level, kill penalties and be used anywhere among the four lines...I think he's going to have to play his way off the team at this point....unless his conditioning becomes a factor.

Yeah of those 3 (don't forget about group a 4th line candidates either) Nolan has impressed the most. Conditioning looks good based on the fact he doesn't look tired near the end of practice. I think he is capable of 4th line minutes (6 to 8). Don't know about pk right now tho.

Volpatti has a nice half slapper.

I agree, so let's assume the 4th will be Nolan - lappy - Bitz/Oreo/Mancari/Duco

that still doesn't adress a single need for "team toughness". Although Bitz and Nolan are both considered "gritty", they're not considered bruisers or tough guys. We still need someone who can do some damage out there with the body and their fist's. Our depth is better than last year, but every cup team in the last 10 years has had at least 1 or 2 guys in the lineup who can chuck their fist's and who put fear in the opponent and I don't think Nolan is the answer for that.

back on topic, it will be interesting to see the battle between Nolan and some of our grittier Wolf players like Pinnizzotto, Duco etc
