Pavol Demitra

Which teams you think will be realistically interested in signing him?

If Montreal can't afford Kovalev, then I doubt they'll be able to afford Demitra. I also think there's a chance Colorado might be interested, but being more realistic, I don't think PL is going try and sign any big name UFA.

I predict he's going to sign with the Kings, eventually.

The Kings appear to be more enamoured with Kovalev. Demitra will get his fair of interest but I think there is a bit of a three way tussle between Kovalev, Demitra and Palffy. As soon as one of those guys signs somewhere the picture will be a lot clearer. The same kind of teams would be interested in anyone of those guys, Palffy apparently wants to go to the East, Kovalev has been leaking stuff about a Western team competing for his services, and Demitra is lurking in the shadows .....

Pulford has promised us Hawk fans that they will actually go out and spend the money on 2 "real 1st line players." Im hoping that Demitra is one of them! But likely it means $4mil on Bure or Kariya

LA's got a bunch of money free, and with the expected loss of Palffy, they'd be the first team in my mind to make a serious pitch for Demitra.

The Panthers have been losing money, he'd have to take a drastic pay cut to fit in there. Besides, I think between Keenan and Martin we are going to see a very youth led movement with an emphasis on tight defensive hockey .....
