I doubt they put Machida on this card, I don't think he's what they're looking for at all in a main event. His history of "elusiveness" might scare them away.

Henderson/Belfort seems more likely, which I'd be cool with. Even one of those guys with Ortiz would be fine. The perfect co-main fight would be Ben Henderson vs Guillard, but I doubt they'd pull him from his other fight.

Franklin/Ortiz could be a possibility.

Apparently the only fight Hendo would consider at 185 was a title fight against Anderson. He looks a lot better at this point in his career at 205 anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe not the "huge" main event many expect, but would still be an interesting fight. Would make an awesome co-main.

I was thinking more of Vitor at 205 than Henderson at 185.

Too bad Wanderlei got smashed so bad last fight, this would be a great stage for him.

The highlight of the crane kick in a promo vid will be enough to get casuals to tune-in in droves. Never underestimate the value of a great highlight real. Machida's is off the charts.

Vitor seems pretty content staying at 185 and going for one more shot at the title. Although fighting Hendo and beating him would move him up in any rankings, it's probably not a fight he'd be all the interested in at 205 although it would give him an opportunity to avenge his loss to Hendo in Pride.

Dana claimed that he always wanted this deal, much more than any other, in an interview with Mauro Ranallo on The Score.
