Buy my tickets for Thursday, 50 bucks for the pair, I'll email em to you if you PayPal it to me (or we can meet up in Monmouth/Ocean county) and I'll buy you carbombs at the next game we're both attending at Hell's prior to the game.
As much as I like Hobby's and Jimmy Buff's, I think their facebook message is going over the top with the karma is a ....line. They lost me there.
I dunno man, they got a point. The Devils upped the cost for them to sell their signature dish there - they don't accept, and the Devils turn around and start selling knockoffs of their signature dish in the same spot.

That's beyond ****ed up.[/QUOT
Are they knockoffs for sure or leftover inventory?
I have not gone to the Taste of Newark stands yet, will check them out on Thurday night.
It does seem cold, I lean more towards Centerplate being the culprit here.

No way it's leftover inventory, bread and dogs from when's the last time Jimmy Buff's was there? Even the guy from Hobby's noticed, 'Man that bread isn't even close to the **** they used to have, unreal!"

That is not cool at all. But you know what, the masses won't know the difference for the most part. We and other regulars will and not be fooled of course.
I thought I read somewhere that a few new well known vendors were going to come in and replace the vacant spots.

Which makes it even more ****ed up. They bring in a well known Jersey roots vendor, then **** em over sideways and then still reap the rewards after the fact.
I've heard rumblings of other vendors stepping in, but buyer beware in their cases. I hope they know what's up.
Sounds like you'd be best suited hitting StubHub or the ticket exchange. I'd give you a decent price on my pair in 120, but I live far from the arena and I don't take paypal.
I made no less than a small fortune on all of my tickets at the end of the year last year. With that said, unless this team is in the toilet, I'd agree with cj that the asking prices here are more than fair.
yeah no argument that the prices on here are more than fair, but i go to a decent amount of games and usually buy tix for two so i just try to find tix as low as possible, usually no matter where they are
Devsin2010 and Krinkle, you guys are partaking in the longest quote typo conversation I've seen on these boards
Side note, I bought tickets to the Sharks game, only to realize literally 15 seconds later it's a college night. Could have saved myself about 5-10 a ticket, but I prefer section 229 to all the others in the bowl. Krinkle, if you're going to be there, I think I'm sitting about 8 feet from you.

True, but the larger point remains: Devils presumably give STH a "great deal" (way below face value) ... but then turn around and immediately start offering a similar or better deal on a game-by-game basis.
This is the #1 reason why I didn't renew my ST this year, so while they're making $$$ on discounts, they've clearly lost some STH because of it as well.
I just want to say...it's NOT the Devils. It's Centerplate.
As someone who's not following the drama (I only eat chicken fingers/fries and funnel cake/zeppoles on the rare occasions I do bother to get something to munch on), I feel compelled to ask: If it's not the Devils then why are all these vendors who are involved saying it is?

The Devils supposedly have 1800 new sth's and renewal rates were at least 85-90 percent, I'd say they're making money unless they're outright lying about those figures. Especially with overcharging the games people are going to anyway and discounting the least popular ones.
