Earthquake

I'm in Queens and my house was shaking a bit. Am I just imagining things or did others feel this too?

The epicenter is reported to be in Virginia, a 5.8. I've had friends from Toronto to Pittsburgh to North Carolina to Boston reporting feeling it.

one of our customers in mid-state CT said their building shook, and some places on the southern coast of CT felt it too.

Yeah centered in Virginia, folks from all over have felt it. Only a 5.8 but you would think with how far away people felt it that it was bigger. Pretty wild feeling for you guys I am sure but should be safe.

Edit: Magnitude updated to 6.0

5th story in Manhattan. Felt my chair moving side to side and thought my cat was attacking it. When saw she wasn't thought nothing of it till I saw the news.

Was so minor.

didn't feel it, but my friend who lives 5 mins from me said he did and all my friends bbm statuses say "earthquake wtf". There was an earthquake in Virginia about 20 mins ago with a 5.9 magnitude, i guess were just feeling it. Not to be worried, Virginia is ****ed, not us people up in NY

The higher you are the more you will feel it. For those of you really high up, maybe go out to eat tonight? This may not be over, it could be a foreshock. Not saying it was, but if it is, the worst is yet to come and you definitely don't want to be 32 floors up.
