I just had a crazy idea. Don't know how this would work but maybe it could happen if enough people want to do it.
How about a "champions league" for the top teams? The top two teams from each league face off in a tournament format against each other. This would kind of be hard to do though as we are just starting out, as in it would be hard to determine seeding without standings from a previous season.
I brought this up in the last thread. I remember us having this a few seasons back, so there shouldn't be a reason not to bring it back next season.
Oooh I'm in the 1st league. Very excited about this, I've never done fantasy hockey before... I've done something similar but not with benches and IR and stuff.
So I assume there's a salary cap? Can people trade players? Do we draft players and then keep them? Or do we buy players and then sell them depending on what we need for that night etc etc?
As I said, there are some different variants on fantasy leagues, and I have no clue on how this is supposed to be.
Hagelin, maybe you should update the OP with rule settings and stuff like that? I'm COMPLETELY green on this .
I like the idea of a Champions League though!
No salary cap. We just have a draft on a set date, you can take whoever you want. Then that is your team. At any point during the season you can cut someone on your team and pick up a free agent (player who wasnt drafter, or player who other league member cut). You can also trade.
Just checked your settings. Add short-handed points to the offensive scoring stats. Trade End date change to March 1st. Also, your draft is very late, September 24th? Make the draft next week if you can. Max acquisitions change to 4 per week. And everything else is fine, mine will be a tad different, but I'm not going to nitpick and make you change everything. Just change those and you're fine. Oh and I almost forgot, make 2 divisions.
