today was how I hope and expect Milan to play...solid 3 pts to the Red and Black
Totally agree man, they were outstanding today, bossed the play and dictated the tempo. What impressed me was how they didn't relent and stop trying to score once they got the insurance goal at to make it 2-0.
I wonder how we'll get on without Pato AND Cassano, it's going to be tough. I really hope B & G have something up their sleeve in the next window.
As an aside, what would fellow Azzurri fans think of this formation/line-up for the '12 ECs:
I would like to see Giuseppe Rossi in the starting 11. I'm on the Azzurri bandwagon on those rare occasions Finland doesn't play in the World Cup or EC ().
Oh wait Rossi is out for the next six months. Maybe Matri then?

Yeah, Rossi being out could definitely hurt his chances. Matri or Pazzini are my top alternate choices.
We (Azzurri) need all the support we can get, most non-Italians really have contempt for L'Azzurri. I'm not really sure why, but I think Italians in general get a pretty bad rap around the world.
i like it Zuffa...i'd need to look at a couple other things to be sure there's no other choices i had, not fully up on my national team research...but that team seems like it could do some damage...

Yeah, I'd say we have a few other options with Prandelli at the helm. He's not a dinosaur who relies on NT dinos like Pirlo and Zambrotta, so I'm confident he'll give plenty of chances to NT noobs like Gio, Balotelli, etc.
Prandelli is being a bit of an idiot by saying that Di Natale is too old for gli Azzurri.
I wouldn't mind giving a shot to Di Natale. I'd prefer though to give it to Balotelli or even Quagliarella, who was one of the few bright spots at the WC.
And yeah Pirlo dominated AC in their last meeting, pissed me off
can't say i know much about your boy, but i'm excited to see him in action...
I've watched a few Lecce games
Milan is getting a hard-working player who is consistent on both ends of the field.
I think he has scored 2-3 goals this season, including one vs Juventus.
He also has 4 years of experience in Serie A - unlike Taiwo who came straight from French Ligue 1- so he is pretty good tactically.
When he was younger, Barcelona was interested in him, but he preferred to earn more experience in more modest clubs.
Not saying he is a superstar, but a very mature, quiet person who won't be a troublemaker

I don't think the problem with Taiwo is that he comes from L1, it's more that ... he sucks. He has always been a stupid headless chicken on a football pitch (and off it too).

Come on, he was formed in such a high place (Annecy), couldn't cut it in Switzerland, couldn't cut in with Lorient and only found his place in Italy.
So yeah, he has developped well in Italy, where the football there suits him, but at no point was he hyped to be something good enough for Barca...
Taiwo is one of those players who has one skill people really appreciate, in his case an incredibly powerful left foot, and people overrate him commonly as a result.

He's a late bloomer, decent depth guy.
I heard the Barca story on Gol TV and Fox Soccer Channel

I guess there is some truth to it
Well, that's really weird. Maybe they're thinking of another player?
Mesbah was never really hyped as a future great player, more as a dime a dozen player.
He was never a key player for his teams IIRC.

Yeah they were talking about another Mesbah
Anyway, never said he was a superstar
Maxwell is pretty meh too

Sure, Maxwell is meh, but his clubs have been Ajax, Inter and Barca.
Mesbah? Lorient (didn't even play), Servette or other powerhouses. Tells you about what less than "meh" is.
I'm not trying to be rude, but frankly, if Mesbah was talked about in a transfer to Barca, it's either that Barca's scouts are weird (and we know they're good) or that an agent got all wet and made that up.
Or that those broadcasters messed up and thought of someone else.
