It was a decent night for OHL Leaf prospects tonight

Skaters
Sondre Olden 1g 0a -1
Sam Carrick 0g 0a -2
Stuart Percy 0g 0a +5
Joshua Leivo 0g 2a -3

Goalies
Garret Sparks 32 sv 37 sa 0.87 pct

It wasn't the best but there were a lot of positives.

I recall the Leafs giving a tryout to Michael Catenacci. I'm not 100% sure can anyone let me know?

Thanks for the update. Leivo and Olden are two guys I really am wanting to see do well. Both seem like project type of prospects that could turn out to be steals down the road. Nice to see them both put up points tonight.

No, I don't think we did, to be honest.

He's only 5'7", and I think that would be a fairly memorable skater among the guys we have in our system.

You're right, we didn't give him a tryout.

Here's a few other things:

Tony Cameranesi has played 7 g has 0g 1 a and is -2
Brodin has 6 PIM in 5 gp and 0 pts he's listed on IR now
Petter Granberg is yet to play this season
Tom Nilsson 0 pts and 0 pim in 1 gp

In the WHL Ross had 7 pim but no points and was -1 and Josh Nichols had 1a and was -1. Not overly impressed with Ross's game tonight.

I hope Ross picks it up this year. I was excited when we drafted him, but it seems like he's not developing as we all hoped.

Tyler Biggs season with University of Miami at Ohio begins Oct. 2 with an exhibition game. I'll be interested in watching him play a few games this season, does anybody know a good streaming site for NCAA hockey?

We didn't give a tryout to Catenacci but he was at the rookie camp in July.

I did but I shouldn't say I wasn't overly impressed that's too strong, he did his job well he **** disturbed properly lol but I'd expect a little bit more offence out of him that's all.

Do you have the opportunity to watch him a lot this season? It would be nice to hear frequent reports on him.

What? No one, except McKegg, from the 2010 draft played a single exhibition.

Well I watch the CHL on occasion during the season because I don;t have much to do at University here in Waterloo so I do try to keep tabs. If I watch enough of him this season I will let you know. I was at the game and he didn't look dominant just decent, but I came back east today. If I get the chance I will keep updating.

Injury? Surely he wouldn't be a scratch after scoring a goal yesterday?

Injury or, perhaps, a visa issue?

They played in Sarnia yesterday, and Plymouth (USA) tonight.

Greg McKegg with a goal and an assist but was -1 and Sam Carrick also had a goal and an assist and was +1. Josh Nichols also has a goal and an assist in the second period.

Eerie is in the US so that's strange that he would have a work VISA for Canada and not from USA.

Haha, then maybe injury speculation makes more sense?
