OK good, I was going to be worried about you otherwise.

Oh and Alistar... I still can't get over Kesler at 2. On my little hand-written list I had 2 exclamation points and a plus sign next to Kesler's name. Thought for sure he'd be there for my 1st pick. Nope!

yeah well I might not have taken him if I remembered he was hurt. My preperation for the draft was good at all points except for noting who was healthy LTIR Superstars indeed.

Basically I had Stamkos as #1 and Kesler / Ovechkin neck and neck for #2 with Kesler getting the slight edge due to faceoffs and the potential for short handed goals. In retrospect picking a guy because he might score a couple of SHG's sometime in the year seems kind of ridiculous, and if I did it over again I would have picked Ovechkin, but I figured that I had went to all the trouble of spreadsheeting it up so why not follow through on my predictions.

The other thing is that pretty much all of my forwards are 50-60 point guys who will put up decent hits, PIM's, and faceoff totals while playing on the SH and PP. It probably would have been smart to pick a couple pure offensive guys in the later rounds to use when I have an overwhelming advantage in the matchup against the opposition in those other areas. Hindsite is 20/20.

I actually had no idea Kesler was out either. That flew under the radar.

Anyway, I claim the title for first post-draft injury once again! Backlund, broken finger, out 6 weeks. So it begins.

Hey I was gone all weekend, but I did set my roster! Seems like that wasn't quite good enough, though, as I'm quite clearly getting curbstomped here, lol.

Oh well, got another week to chip away at that lead!

Note to self, always be aware of early starts. It makes you look a tit when you forget and you have Brodeur starting and Varlamov benched, especially when G categories are currently costing you.

Joe Thornton, 0 points through 3 games.

Should've named my team the slow starters.

What good is taking Lundqvist with my first pick if he's playing behind D pairings such as Woywitka-Eminger?

I got a feeling, what can I say. Read had a good preseason and I've heard a lot of positives about him. A gamble of course but it's one I'm willing to take. If you want Kennedy by all means take him.

Read is a good pickup, McKenzie picked him for Calder darkhorse.

Man I really thought Zidlicky would be a steal for me, he's Minny's #1 PP player and their PP was dynamite last year. But he's really sucking, probably cuz Minny's been sucking. Pitkanen's showing signs of repeating his 09-10 season though, glad I took a waiver on him.

Never underestimate the mighty matt cooke and his magical SHP powers. Except I didn't really draft him for it, he's not putting up PIMs.

My starting 2 this season were Roloson and Halak... both of whom are being sat for backups atm. I need some insurance until they settle down lol. Losing goalie stats every week isn't cool.

I dumped Halak toward the end of last year. Something's off there.

I'm hoping I can get by only using 2 this time around. And then just use the shotgun approach when it comes to skaters.
