I picked against him but I hope you are right. He's a very exciting guy but I have a hard time getting a read on him, the only fights' I've watched of his were in Sengoku where the competition is under-whelming.

I think this fight is a tougher matchup for him than the Thompson fight, even though the punk is a better fighter than Healy (if that makes any sense). Healy is a tough out for anyone, he's such a grinder.

It wouldn't be the first time Healy has de-railed a hype train, that's for sure.

I think Blanco will be fine over here, though. Healy could grind this one out, but Blanco has pretty good wrestling and as long as he can keep it standing it should be his fight to win.

Do you buy into any of the talk that Blanco was heavily on the juice and got away because of the lack of drug testing in Japan? I guess his body type at the weigh-ins will shed some light on that situation.

If he can keep it on the feet he's golden, which should also make for a very exciting fight for the viewers as Healy can take a hell of a beating.

No idea, but it wouldn't be surprising.

Think about how many Japanese can crushing hype trains have derailed in North America. The smart money is on Healy

Barnett turned Kharitonov around during their posedown so everyone could see Sergei's sponsor. Lol.

Just a heads' up for those with HDnet, I think they are airing the under-card. There is a few decent names on the prelims, Mike Kyle, Feijao and Mein (up and coming Canadian prospect) vs. Cyborg.

Yeah, saw that. Damn, I wish Telus carried HDNet.

Anybody else confused on the guide info for Superchannel today? I'm trying to set my PVR, but it seems Strikeforce is airing 3 times today, starting at 2:30 PST, then again at 5:00 and 7:30. I assume the 7:30 slot is the live main card, but all of them say "original air date 2011/01/29", which would be the Diaz/Cyborg event.

Or is the event on PPV?

Hopefully the streams stay intact...I can't justify 20 bucks to watch the occassional strikeforce card on t.v.

despite my cheapness I'm pretty excited about this card. The grand prix hasn't disappointed so far.

Pretty sure you can add Superchannel for the day, then cancel it. You only get charged a prorated amount.

Also, there are almost always free preview periods available. I'm on a free 6 month period right now.

I haven't seen a free preview period recently or I would have jumped all over it. Oh well.
