Old Lightnings at Tropicana Field

Has any of you ever been to a Bolts game at the Trop? Any experience you can share? Seems like a fascnating venue for hockey and from pics most seats didnt seem so bad neither.

99 dollar open seating season tickets were awesome. Plus, who didn't love fanland?

Hell, I think it'd be awesome since their anniversary coming up to do a preseason game at the Expo Hall and a marquee game at the Trop.

It would be nice if they could do more games in Florida. If they played at Tropicana Field or the Expo Hall next preseason that'd be pretty cool. They past 4 preseasons our team has done the NHL premiere exhibition games against the European teams and started the season over seas, we've promoted games in Winnipeg twice, Regina, Everett, Loveland, Norfolk, and Quebec City. We've done a lot for the league so it would be nice to be able to set something up for our fans in Florida again like we just did in Orlando.

Used to go all the time when 98Rock radio station had the deals and cheap beer. That's how I got hooked on hockey. Went to the playoff game against Philly that set the attendance record and that place was insane.

Yup, game three. Quick tying goal with less than 3 left in regulation, and then an OT goal by Selivanov. What a game.

Place was... interesting. Its kind of hilarious that its still used for the Rays now. I have fond memories though, great times. Lots of seating with horrible sight lines, lol.

If they decided to play there again, I think that would be the closest to a winter classic you could have in the South. That's crazy I never even knew that.
