The Black Keys were actually my first choice, I really dig ''howlin for you''(imo it could rival Chelsea Dagger)....except according to all the gamers on here who play NHL 11...apparently their sick of hearing it.

I really don't think that little problem should factor in the team's choice of goal songs.

The Living End - Raise the Alarm

great song, interactive, upbeat, and the lyrics kinda flow with scoring the goal
what do you guys think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AirdHLCj4MY

Steve Earle - The Revolution Starts Now

I like this song, simply cause it's in line with the building on a strong team. lame, but a new revolution is starting...

no disrespect intended, but please god no techno, or hip-hop...doesn't reflect ottawa what so ever, plus in regards to techno it gets so dated so fast. Please no songs that have been used a million times over also! (i'm looking at you POD, ACDC!)

It'd be cool to use a canadian band, even a local Ottawa band, like the Red Sox do. Listen to Dirty Water, which they play everytime they win. Or what could be really cool is if the old supporters of the Original Sens had a rally song, and update like the Dropkick Murphy's did for 'Tessie'

Can anyone think of any new or old local bands that may be up for the task?
Punchbuggy?
Kathleen Edwards?
Furnanceface - Biff Bang Pow?
Anyone heard 'I Am Canadian' by Stone Melodies? awesome song, although given the Habs, it probably won't work.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoA2OV2pxcc

we can claim Kingston for our own, and try and convince Hugh Dillion and the Headstones to reform and gives us something....

Outside of Ottawa
The Salads - Get Loose/Today is Your Lucky Day

I'd support this too actually. Everyone screams boom at the same time and the place goes nuts. Nobody else uses it (to my knowledge), and the lyrics are appropriate enough.

The only Youtube video I can find isn't great quality

After some thought, I think the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are the band to use. Karen O always pumps me up.

This or even the outro of Gold Lion would be pretty sweet.

Wouldn't mind Howlin' for You but its been a really overplayed song over the past year or so since Brothers was released.

Another song that would be awesome to play would be Mercy by Plants and Animals if its a blowout. M-E-R... C-Y!!!!

EDIT: If I had it my way I'd use ****ed Up but I don't think the whole screaming thing would go over with the droves of elderly who make it out to SBP.

I'm surprised anyone brought up the idea of ****ed Up. Well done. It would be incredible to have the screams of Father Damian rocking through SBP, but as mentioned, it would not appeal to the majority of the folks there.

Did anyone suggest Bloc Party already?

EDIT: I just had an epiphany listening to Watch the Throne

I'm all for the White Stripes, at the moment. But here's something I'd love, personally.

A heavy cover of "Shout" by Tears for Fears. I think it would integrate the crowd well, and create good energy.

This. Or maybe Hate to Say I Told you So

....also, did I get in before the caterwauling of "I'm not at the game to listen to the music" that was so prevalent in previous threads that focused on the in-game experience?

My favorite is "They should focus on scoring more goals and quit worrying about the music!!!!1!!1!"...like it's the same people that are tasked with both things.

I'd like either Tick Tick Boom or Seven Nation Army. SNA would be awesome if the crowd got into it every time.

...especially if they were so loud it drowned out that God-awful song. I didn't realize I was such a minority in hating that song

I think that would fit more on opening night when Heatley turns over the puck and we score...

When they win how would you like to hear the song All I Do is Win by DJ Khaled ft T-Pain, Rick Ross and Snoop Dog?
