Joey Vandetta Tweeted that he saw Wade last night in Yorkville. Apparently Wade was in good spirits. I doubt he took his own life.
He doesn't seem to be the "type", and I don't mean any disrespect to the likes of Boogard or Rypien. He just seemed happy and always in the media, on twitter, he was very involved in his public persona.
But, unfortunately, he's passed away, and regardless of the reason, it's a terrible loss. RIP.
This is awful news , he was probably one of the best enforcers the leafs ever had and had a great personality,
In 2 Leafs Ive been to he had a fight (04 against Colorado) to which almost everyone in the ACC chanted BELAK BELAK BELAK ,
and in 06 against the Bruins he potted an assist
So sad. Sometimes I'm upset cause I can't find a job after just graduating but it's time like these that makes me realize I have it pretty darn good.
I have no idea how Wade passed away, but to anyone who has never dealt with depression or anxiety, people can 'seem' perfectly fine and normal and jovial but inside could be a whole different story. I'm just saying this because even though Wade might have seemed happy and in good spirits, it doesn't really matter, no one knows what's going on in someone's head.
Anyways, however he passed on is no matter now, he's gone. I just hope his wife and children will be okay as they will never be the same again. I hope there is a life after death and if there is one, may you rest there in peace Belak.
Best moment ever is him going at it with Janssen after his dirty hit on Kaberle. He did something that all fans of the Leafs wanted someone to do. RIP
