the (new) Preds-related topic thread

Figured since we have so many newbies, this would help them via immersion therapy in getting out on to the "main" boards and showing off these cool avatars and representing our bodacious presence!

The idea is if you come across something directly or indirectly Preds-related, post a link to it here, so others can join in\weigh in\come to your defense. We had a pretty lengthy thread with this type of thing a while back, but it sort of fell into disuse.

I'll start with this one, Shea Weber vs Jay Bouwmeester

HFBoards TOP 60 ranking: Defencemen

5. Weber

20. Suter

39. Hamhuis

Three Preds in the top 40 for defensemen in the league according to HF members. Good to see Suter getting recognition. Weber went a little high, though.

they are each very good at their different roles. saying one is better than the other really just comes down to what part of the game you value more and personal preference.

Certain aspects.

You will find some say Weber is slightly better and some say Suter is slightly better.

Here's a poll we had about this. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=638187

This writer gives a deep analysis of Dan Ellis's 08/09 year. Makes good points on to why Ellis didn't have as bad of a year as people make him out to have had.

Just wondering what's up with Sullivan and why he's not putting up any points. He's getting good ice time, just no production. I know with Arnott out, there goes the key to the line, but is there anything else wrong with Sullivan and does he seem like he could turn it around? Thanks.

per McKenzie's twitter, Ville Koistinen has been waived by the Panthers.

Guess they figured out that he's terrible, as well.

for whatever reason, it's in people's heads that Weber is miserable in Nashville, and he can't wait to "bolt" for Canada.

If that was true, then Weber would have signed a 4 year deal, bringing him to UFA, rather than the 3 year deal bringing him to RFA.

though in the thread the idea of putting Tootoo on the same team as Cheechoo and Ruutu is a hilarious one. I'm just wondering if the Ottawa's play by play guy's tongue would explode by game three.

I've always wanted a team to get Tootoo, Ruutu, and Avery (the only center of the three) on one line and call it the Rooty-Tooty-Fruity line.

That.....works.....And it would help solidify Nashville as the Oakland Raiders of the NHL. Of course with success in getting to the playoffs unlike the Raiders.

This would sadly lead to me jumping over the glass and killing Avery right on the Sommet ice and standing before the judge and saying, "I did it, but you can't force me to plead guilt over it."

The "Tootoo vs. Robidas" debate has been re-opened. Please contribute your 2 cents....

It is starting to get personal.

And neither one strengthens our organization. I wouldn't do either to be honest, although I do like Setoguchi and Benn individually...
