It may take Kreider a couple years after he makes the Rangers--whether he needs time in Hartford is another thing--but I expect eventually he'll be a top 6 forward for us. Generally he seems to fit best into the category of power forward and usually pf's need more time to develop. He does have an asset that most pf's don't have and that is incredible speed along with acceleration. IMO he's at least going to be a very good player but his potential is a wild card.

Realistically, these tenets are violated all the time, but it's at the risk of losing your amateur status.
I guess he brings his own water and Gatorade to rink, dresses in hotel, uses his own tape, pays admission to get into rink, goes back to the hotel, showers and doesn't come out til next practice(can't have dinner and drinks w/friends, NCAA is watching). I think you're being pretty ridiculous here in your explanation.

Just like Jessiman. He's made a lot of progress.

If the NCAA sees that a professional organization is providing equipment, Gatorade, etc., then why would they let Kreider play in the NCAA?

That's like giving a big "F U" to your team and the NCAA if he were to do that.

The NCAA would think, "Well, if he's getting incentives from the Rangers, why should we allow him to play in our league?"

Do you think he's faster than Gaborik?

Oh my God, that would be scary... Gaborik and Kreider on the same line.

Yeah actually Gaborik isn't *that* fast, he just has a very quick first couple of steps. Very good acceleration and change of speed. Not that he's slow or anything, just that I'd say there are guys in the NHL faster than Gaborik in full flight.

I've seen a few BC games, every WJC game that Kreider has played in, and all the WC games from last season...the set of wheels that Kreider has for a guy his size is absolutely incredible.

No need to rush him, potentially 1 maybe 2 years in the AHL will be best for him.

He's not going to take two years to reach the NHL.

Next year.

yeah i think hes close. hes got darren helm type speed.

in his heyday, erik cole had that kinda speed. before he had the injuries.

see, krieder just reminds me of erik cole in so many ways. when i watched alot of him when he was at clarkson, he had that kinds blazing speed that made you take notice.

krieder has that.
