Sidney Crosby haven't played against Chicago since February 2007, which means he has never played against Toews and Kane in the NHL.

Let's Go Pittsburgh tonight!!

I believe someone mentioned it in the GDT, but it's awesome to think that if the Hawks lose tonight and we win Sunday, we have the chance to pass the Hawks in the standings when we face them Tuesday

Rumors abound of a potential shakeup in the executive suite of Buffalo Sabres. I've asked the principals for comment. No response thus far

Something is up with Pat LaFontaine and the Buffalo Sabres.
LaFontaine quitting on another team?

It's sounding like that, maybe he was a huge Miller fan.

That would be weird. Miller had been on the block for months now and it was only a matter of time before they made a deal. LaFontaine knew he was going to be traded.

Could also be something to do with Nolan. Maybe Murray wants to bring his own guy in.

Well there was that rumor that Buffalo was thinking of re-signing Miller instead of trading him, maybe that was LaFontaines plan.

A couple of days ago they've said Miller is staying put.

Anyway he lasted 40 days with the Isles, how long has he been with the Sabres?

Every time I see Gwoz on TB's bench, I get surprised. It's so weird not seeing him behind DU's bench.

Luongo won't be getting the start tomorrow in the outdoor game. I pity the guy so much.

They ship out Schneider and he's still not the starter. The Canucks are treating him like ****. I hope he gets traded so he can actually start like he deserves.

Sounds like Lafontaine doesn't have the right mentality to be involved in the NHL with him quitting after a short time twice now.

The last straw was the Ryan Miller trade. Pat Lafontaine was pushing to give Miller an extension. Tim Murray was pushing for a trade.

If this was the last straw, what was the first straw?

If you follow @Hope_Smoke LaFontaine's "exhaustive" search may not have been all that it seemed. I guess he was actually trying to ply information on how to run a front office from the various candidates, and wanted a guy with little to no experience who would essentially act as his puppet. Apparently his many interviews also irked a few rivals, which Pegula & Co. probably weren't happy about. In any event, it looks like he wanted more power in day-to-day operations and once he realized Murray wasn't about to cede any authority, he bolted.

The Isles resignation was justified. Neil Smith was fired because he refused to sign DiPietro to a 15-year deal, and LaFontaine wasn't consulted, so he left there afterwards. However, this just looks bad on Patty no matter how you spin it.

BTW, I don't see Burke being able to cede this kind of power in Calgary either, except I think Calgary's ownership is dumb enough to let him do what he wants.

Hate the Steelers but really digging Fleurys mask. Wonder if Varly will do a Broncos or Rockies inspired mask if we host a game next year.
