No, not at this point. I almost respect your franchise for going down that route, at this point. Anything to differentiate themselves from the pack.

Who own the Islanders?

Yup. Gotta give the Islanders some credit for doing something 'outside the box'. Whether it works or not, remains to be seen.

I'm more surprised Wang hasn't done more lobbying for putting advertisements on jerseys. I could see the Islanders being the first team with jerseys that look like Nascar jumpsuits. I'm indifferent on Wang, but I like that the guy certainly doesn't care what others think. If he thinks it's an opportunity to make money and be different, damn the potential critics.

No matter how you look at it, whether you're tatted or not, it is a sign of serious desperation of a franchise in real trouble. I presume most clubs would actually prefer large corporate sponsorship, not a freakin' tattoo parlor! Seems a little ECHLish to me.

Wang is all about local Long Island sponsorships. It's one of the problems most of the fans have with him. He continues to try and want to help Nassau County and the Town of Hempstead after being repeatedly screwed by them. It's not a sign of anything.

Didn't they do this at a Las Vegas Wranglers game a few years ago?

Those little red lines that show up when you spell a word wrong are there for a reason.

So is it gonna be limited to Islanders or Islanders related tattoos, or can someone go and get something...you know, good?

I think it's great. They should have a promotion going where they'll give you free Islander tattoos. The more people permanently sporting your colours on their skin the better.

It already does a good profit.

It was giving out money for tattoo removal. But aren't the Wranglers the ones with a bunch of odd promotions anyway?

Surely you're not talking about the Rapture Night home opener next month, are you?

Or would you be referring to Rod Blagojevich Night...

or would you be referring to stripper night...

I agree. What does it say? " Who fears being conquered", something, something.

I would love to see someone go and get a Rangers logo during a game.

Tattoo Lou's is based in St. James, a village in the town of Smithtown (or maybe Stony Brook), Suffolk County. It has a location in Nassau, but the other locations are in Suffolk.

As an Islander fan with zero tattoos or piercings (thought about getting fraternity letters in college, thought better of it), I really have no problem with this. I don't think many people will actually get a tattoo at the game, but marketing-wise for the tattoo parlor it's huge. They will no doubt be able to showcase their work on the concourse, and they've already had players come in for ink. For the Islanders, it's money. They need it, and this company ponied up.
