Even though he spoke to the press, I don't think Wilson was allowed to disclose the nature of his injury. One of his quotes was pretty funny... something like "I'm feeling 100% from whatever my injury might have been". Wish I could remember where I saw the quote. Good stuff from Willy.
Looks like tonights game against the Canes is already sold out!
Having spent way too much time on the business board defending ATL and southern hockey, I'm a little sensitive on this subject. That said, this is great!!!! 8th in a row!! Great job fans.
Apparently Lindback will be recalled today. No official confirmation though.

Quote:
Lindback is likely to be recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Sunday, The Tennessean reports.
According to coach Barry Trotz, Lindback's demotion earlier this week was to allow him to shake off some rust and play in back-to-back games for the Admirals this weekend. He will return to his usual role as Pekka Rinne's backup once he's back in Nashville.

Trotz said on Thursday that Anders would play back to back in Milwaukee then be recalled on Sunday. Don't know if he took the bus to Peoria or if Smith flew to Peoria this morning, but that was in fact the plan.
Lindback will be playing in some upcoming games with the team on the road and playing back-to-backs...
Halfway point and on pace for 96 points which probably gets us a 7 or 8 seed.
On the optimistic side, I think we all know that this team is capable of more than they showed in the first half, but doing better than 48 in the last 41 is going to require much more consistency defensively and continued good luck regarding injuries.
On the downside, the schedule is arguably a good bit tougher in the closing half.
Poile definitely needs to add a couple of pieces and hopefully sign suter and weber to prevent their contract status from becoming a distraction

THIS!!!! Does anyone think we'll see ANY type of off-ice action within this week, or are we going to have to wait until the trade deadline gets closer??

Prices are still high with so many teams in the playoff mix. Unless it's the right deal, Poile isn't going to pull the trigger. He knows he has more than one piece to acquire and isn't going to overpay to get someone right now if it hampers his efforts closer to the deadline to acquire the other...
if we claim him, do we have to put him on waivers to send him to the AHL? We can do worse than to have him as an emergency call-up... but not a big deal either way.

he's on a one-way deal, so we'd be paying him close to a million bucks to play in Milwaukee. He would have to clear waivers though, since we gave him to Phoenix via trade. If we had lost him on waivers, and then claimed him back, he could have gone down without having to clear.
Not even a little. We were due for an asset management to go right.
meh.
A hot streak the last few games has Peverley on pace for 15 goals this year.
Santorelli is on pace for 10.
Franson is still what he was when he left here.. a third pairing guy who is occasionally helpful on the PP... and yet our PP is light years better this year than when he was here.
Cal O...
which "asset management" went wrong in your opinion?
Serious question and i'm not trying to troll or be stupid.
But who is Kevin Klein? Like I know he exists as a player, but don't you guys feel that he's never generally talked about or mentioned in outside hockey circles lol?

Eh, he's decent second pairing guy, he makes more mistakes then good plays, which is why he's a 2nd pairing guy I guess, and with Suter, Weber, Ellis, and Josi he won't really put up great numbers. He's just expected to get the job done.

He is like Mark Eaton, Karlis Skrastins, Greg Zanon, and the like that were former Preds that eventually got too expensive for our taste on the 2nd pairing. Those players also were never talked about outside of hockey circles, but they do their respective jobs and they aren't flashy. However, Klein took a discount to stay with us and (despite what the poster above me said??) has been an EXCELLENT 2nd pairing guy.
He makes our PK tick and was one of the main reasons why we had such an incredible PK for the last 3-4 years. He is a pure defensive dman, but isn't bad in the offensive zone. Only thing he truly struggles with are his break out passes. But as long as he isn't paired with someone who can't move the puck (see Zanon, Hamhuis, Boullion), he is a great #3 dman. In his time paired with Roman Josi, they have been beyond excellent as Josi moves the puck extremely well.
