Obviously any team can lose at anytime, so it's likely they'll lose more than 5 before the year is over, but I don't see them losing much more than that - if that.

Dang. I wanted to find a way to pass those guys.
6 of their next 10 are on the road ... 15-16-1 road record so far.

Some of you may not like how much we gave up for Gaustad. Butttt i wouldnt worry too much.
I think Poile plans on dealing Lindback/Blum/Josi/Ellis/Ekholm etc for a high pick.

Who would of thought we would have all our young dmen after the deadline? I sure as hell didnt.

Want some trippy trivia? Nashville has 8 picks in this year's draft, and none in the first two rounds.

TOR 3rd
PHX 4th
NSH 4th
NSH 5th
NSH 6th
NYR 6th
DAL 6th
NSH 7th

We'll hit on half of those probably. We've done fairly well in the later rounds recently. Or we have some decent trading-up ammo.

Is it weird that I would trade, straight up,a 6th rounder for a 7th? We have much more sucess in the 7th...

So true.

Id expect atleast one or two "move up" scenarios where a couple picks will be packaged.

I would so much rather trade our 5th for a team's 7ths in 2012 and 2013

It is amazing to me how many free agents we have going into next year. For D, only Klein and Josi (and Ellis) are under contract (FA D are Weber, Suter, Boullion, Gill, Hillen, and Blum). FA forwards are AK, SK, Gaustad, Wilson, Tootoo, Yip, and McGrattan. Then Lindy. I include all the RFAs because you never know how much they are going to get. Poile has some serious decisions to make, and this offseason will be a watershed moment for our franchise.

So, what's the case with the conditional 5th sent back to Montreal. Does it just cancel out and disappear? Also, what about the conditional pick we got from Toronto for Lombardi? (that third listed isn't it, is it?)

the 5th just becomes MTL's again and wont come to us even if Blake plays 40 games for them

if Lombardi plays a total of 60 over this year and next we get a 4th(not a third) in 2013

Trotz said Klein suffered a setback, out for Saturday. Said Ellis has been sick, but can see him sticking with the #preds rest of the season

Really wish poile had picked up one more defenseman. Surely mark eaton wouldn't have cost much?

Maybe, but at the same time...

Weber-Suter
Josi-Gill
Klein-Ellis
Boullion-Hillen
Laakso-Sloan
Blum

if 2 go down, Hillen-Frankie is our bottom pairing. If 3 (half of our D) go down, Laakso is playing. It would take 2/3 of our defenseman getting injured to call up Tyler Sloan and/or Jon Blum, both of whom have played in the NHL before. Have 8 NHL d men with 3 guys with NHL experience waiting if the need arises is plenty of depth.

I'm honestly surprised we didn't deal Frankie or Hillen for a pick.

as much as we think they suck, they are still nhl level depth, and thats priceless in the playoffs.

i would have liked to add one more experienced dman, but subtracting any was out of the question..

Agreed. I would have been surprised if we dealt a dman without a replacement on the way.

8 dman if ellis stays up just seems like alot to me.. especially considering weber and suter can hit 30 mins a night if need be. bouillon sucks and will do more harm than the "depth" he provides. hillen too.. we should have dealt one and upgraded with another. just my 2 cents

I will be honest, I could see Blum back up for depth in the playoffs. If Klein is out long term, I would be more comfortable with him and bouillon than ellis or hillen, esp even strength. I say long term on Klein because we all saw the hit he took, and now a setback. Klein Flu may have struck again.

I am hoping one you here knows more about this than me. Next Thursday against the Avs is a College Night game. With those, can you get more than one ticket per ID? How many tickets do they normally open for the promotion? Can you only get that deal at the box office?
