Big, strong, physical, and skilled young playmaking franchise center in the mold of Ryan Getzlaf.

Chara/Weber in Columbus would help immensely.

Brad Marchand? Lauri Korpikoski? Joel Ward? Probably a Korpikoski type, someone who can fly, put up 30-40 points, and PK well.

For the Leafs:

A power-forward #1 center. So basically Ryan Getzlaf

Lupul - Getzlaf - Kessel
Kulemin - Grabovski - MacArthur
Kadri - Connolly - Lombardi
Brown - Bozak - Armstrong

Ahw yeah. Depth.

I'd love to see Jonathan Toews on the Habs, and see him become the captain (again) after Gionta leaves. Apparently he's still good friends with Price from their WJC days, and the guy even speaks fluent French (his mother is Quebecoise).

A defensively-responsible, potential PPG #1 centre who delivers in the playoffs, and of course: the intangibles. I believe he is just the type of leader the Canadiens organization has always valued (Gainey, Carbonneau, Muller, Koivu). Can't go wrong with Toews.

Corey Perry for the Penguins. He would be perfect on Crosby's wing.

Actually I think I'll make the probable Dan Bylsma lines if somehow they got him for free...

Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis
Neal - Malkin - Perry
Kennedy - Staal - Sullivan
Cooke - Adams - Asham

Pavel Datsyuk.

An elite center at both ends of the rink--would be perfect in a Lindy Ruff system.

Vanek-Datsyuk-Pominville
Ennis-Roy-Stafford
Leino-Hecht-Boyes
Gerbe-Gaustad-Kaleta
McCormick, Ellis

Regehr-Myers
Leopold-Ehrhoff
Sekera-Weber
Gragnani

Miller

For the Leafs: Evgeni Malkin. Dude is big, powerful, does it all from goalscoring at a high level to playmaking at a high level.

Haha, even if the Sens added another awesome centre they'd have pretty much no one on the wings for Spezza/other guy to play with and their D would still be questionable unless Gonchar/Phillips/Kuba turn it around.

So pre-concussion Crosby would probably be the only guy who could make us really respectable because he doesn't seem to need a lot to work with. But we still wouldn't be real contenders.
