Food Joints that are open 24/7 in Edmonton

Hey guys, I know this last month or so has been slow for hockey, but I was curious, since this site has very knowledgeable people on here, to tell me of any food joints that are open 24/7 or even very late times, Fast Food or Restaurants. My friend and I are usually done work around 12 AM and we have such a limited variety of places to eat (McDicks, Denny's, Select Tim Hortons) and we wanted to know if anyone else has other places that are open late.

Thanks in Advance!

This is a beauty thread. Even though I live in Calgary, this is a smart thread to have.

other than the bars and denny's it seems like everything shuts down by 11 am, which is a bit of a shame to be honest.

....I think there's a few little donair and similar-type places on whyte open until weird hours. Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

New York Steak and Pizza is open 24/7, I believe. If you are worried about their location, visit Alberta Health's website to see if there is anything wrong in their kitchen.

I love how Steel Wheels was mentioned in the first reply. I came to post the same.

Don't even think about not going. Steel Wheels has the best pizza in the city.

EDIT: Bring a sharpie. You'll see why when you get there.

Agreed - just try not to touch anything else while you're in there.

World's Finest Donair on 120th and Jasper is open most nights at 2am or even later. Chicago Deep Dish (there's one on whyte and jasper) are both open quite late.

Edmonton needs more late night dining though!

Steel Wheels is, but to the guy saying it's the best pizza in town- you've never went there sober, haha. It sucks. I love the place though, holds a special place in my heart. Nicest owners in the world. 4 dollars and you will eat like a king. Nothing like ending a drunk night at Steel Wheels, I swear.

are the Humpty's still open 24/7? they used to be a staple after the bars (im kinda out of the 4am loop). A cafe in China town (i won't mention the name, 97st) was another.. if you got there before 2:30 you could order a bunch of beer and keep drink well past 3am.

I lost my appetite at Steelwheel when I walked into the bathroom and almost passed out from the hotbox of ammonia due to the stagnant piss in the urinals and on the ground. I would never trust the cleanliness of that place after that. It amazes me how Health and Safety haven't run that place through.

I tried linking you to their history. But for some reason the link does not directly take you there. Quite easy to read previous reports, if you are interested.

Garden Bakery (10019 106 Ave) is open until 5 am.

It's a Chinese noodle house but in a sketchy part of town. The food is pretty decent. If you're going there with a friend you should be okay. A lot of late night restaurant workers go there after 2am.

A place to go usually right after the Strat.

Nothing like going to a resteraunt where mouse poison is contaminating the kitchen!

Thanks for the link. Probably a good reference for any resteraunt you go to.

Nothing like downing 90 cent 'pints' of drain-cleaner draft before stumbling over to Steel Wheels middle-eastern mystery meat pizza. Just a regular Monday in Edmonton.
