Oh they'll find a spot. Most likely at DH, which is where he is at right now. They didn't "pull the trigger" on a deal the last time for an ace, they're not going to do it now.

They have great young arms in their system. And if they really feel like they need to go out and trade for an ace they can package some of their other prospects for one.

How often has a player of montero's caliber come through the system with this kind of power? Who was the last one. He is just as valuable as a great young arm that comes through the system. People are stupid if they are thinking about trading this kid.

stupid for trading a catching prospect that cant catch for a guy like king felix? there is no spot for him. a rod is turning into the dh, we are seeing it slowly happen this year. he isnt playing 1st, his best bet is outfield and i dont think he is going there. this club does have young arms, your right. but we are also loaded with sluggers. we really dont need his bat as much as we need pitching.

I say we just DH him for now. Arod still plays a mean 3rd. I think we can squeeze a couple more years out of Arod before he's a full time DH.

I wouldn't trade Montero for an ace at this point.

If Baneoulous and Betances develop then you have CC Nova B's = 4 SP

You really wanna trade Montero for another SP?

if we were to get a player like felix, yes. a CC, felix 1-2 punch wud be absurd.

im not going to rely on 2 rookies and while impressive as a rookie, nova. need a proven ace after cc. cc, nova, hughes/a.j./rookie/rookie is not a valid rotation in this division. unless of course these guys are lights out and win 17-20 games.

There's no reason to believe Nova won't do that.

Not sure how you can say the Sox have better pitching. Their ERA in the month of September is upwards of 6. Their pitching is the reason we're up by half a dozen games.

Why is proctor pitching?

I wish girardi would get fired. Especially if we win any of the next 3 games.

because im not going to judge their pitching just based on this month. the combo of beckett/lester alone is better than cc and any pitcher on the roster right now.

Where is Luis Ayala?

He's an upgrade over Proctor.

So the Red Sox have scored more runs than us, this is a fact, and according to you have much better pitching, and yet we're killing them in the standings. Am I missing something here?

hey man if you think beckett and lester alone dont make their starters better than our rotation after cc i dont know what to tell you. but if we go into next season with colon and garcia someone should be fired.

But you're looking at names. I'm looking at numbers. I don't care if Larry, Mo, and Curly are in our rotation. Bottom line is our staff has put up better results all year.

Oh well, we lost a game we didn't even try to win. No Arod, no Jones, no Jeter. Could've pinch hit any one of them and didn't in big situations.
